I like them, they really atre great! Nice to finally see them finished and so, beautiful though I knew they were going to be!

Of course, I do have to point out my nitpicks! I don't like the inconsistency with some covers having scenes with shading in them, and others not. Like The Jungle Book and Fun and Fancy Free and The Lion King (or not?) are the only ones shaded. I also think the shorts should just be a different color, maybe a different blue than the films, or a yellow, while Pixar is left to be red.

But those are my only complaints to otherwise excellent, excellent work! I commend you! Good job!

I wanted and defiantly preferred that the center image be from the films themselves. And in fact the vast majority of the characters on the corners were pulled from the films themselves, which meant a little more work, but I argue made them look better. There were, however, some difficulties that came up.

"Fun and Fancy Free" was an issue becuase I simple could not find a picture with both Mickey and Jiminy Cricket and I felt that they really both need to be on there together. That one was some time ago that I worked on it, but if I remember right, I played around with images from the film that had one or the other in it, but it just didn't work. So, I just took the image from the official DVD cover, which is shaded, and tried to lighten up some of the shading on Mickey slightly.

"The Jungle Book" gave me even more fits. I went thru tons of images that I could get my hands on and none of them worked. I even used an image of Balloo from the sequel, but realizing that was a big mistake, dropped it.

"Lion King," while I think still promotional art, is in fact not shaded like the first two. It's as if it was taken right out of the film. I went over a number of possible pictures for this one as well, but decide that the image I went with was the best possible one to go with.

It is possible for the first two in question, sometime later I may go back and attempt to find new center pictures again. But if that were to happen, it would not happen until a number of other covers had been made.

I'm still in work in progress mode for the shorts, so it is possible they could change colors. That said, I'm not sold on Pixar ever being red. I'm thinking as of now to make it more of a blue-green. I have a number of other covers in my mind as well. I still plain on making covers for the various Disney tv shows, a set for the nature films, a set for the direct to video material, and I've been working on breaking down possible sets for live action films. So if red were to move to a different cover set, it would be more likely to used for one of these.

As for making the shorts a different shade of blue, I may just try that out. I thought of red for this set becuase of the color of Mickey's shorts. But, I'm open to different ideas.

Again, thank you. It has been a lot of work, but I've enjoyed the process and coming up with the ideas on how they should look. I defiantly don't hide the fact that these covers are meant for completes, but I still have plans for alternate sets for different films such as the "Princess Collection."

Did these out of boredom, even though I'm not a fan of the sideways title I wanted to see what they'd look like with them.

Great job! I hate the sideways logos, but you did a great job on them anyway. One of these days when I have time again (whatever that is), I hope to work on more of my covers. I have so many more to do!

Add a silver border and 3D and I bet you'll have something that will look very similar to what we'll be seeing released.

Unless it's a 3-Movie Collection, cramped with all three Little Mermaid films and THREE different Ariels. (If it happened to Pocahontas...)

Beautiful covers! I love the simplicity of them, much better covers than the crowded ones Disney puts out!
January 6, 2009 - Met Stephen Schwartz
September 4, 2009 - Met Tom Hulce
September 18, 2009 - Met Miley Cyrus

and something more along the lines of what Disney might actually do, using images from the platinum dvd and original theatrical poster...

Uh.. what are Flounder and Sebastian looking at? I mean, is my mind in the gutter or is that just an unfortunately composed cover?...
