They don't show any for The Little Mermaid theme though.
Awesome. awesome! I'm hoping this is another budget resort? (I'm all for the budget resorts, myself.)
Yes. I beleive the Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo sections part of the DVC though. Pretty sure the Little Mermaid section is a regular value resort. I love that they worked it out that way, as Little Mermaid is my favorite film out of thoes four, by far. Don't think I can get in the DVC any time soon..

I usually stay in value resorts when we go to Disney, so I am excited to have a good choice of hotel other than Pop, although their Tie Dye Cheesecake is amazing.

Video of “The Magic, The Memories, and You” Castle Show Debut:

I'm sorry, but does this not seem like a tactic to increase end-of-the-night PhotoPass purchases?

The projections for that show are wonderful, but the Photopass junk utilized in it is just too cheesy and an obvious cry out for money.

Hi...this is prolly not the right topic but still...didn't see any particular merchandise threads.

I'm visiting Orlando in October, staying at a disney resort for 18 days. I saw this barbie-set on ebay with all ten princesses in one box. Dolls didn't look all that amazing, but I'm still interested in getting it. Does anyone know they still sell those at WDW? Are there lot of Princess dolls?

It depends what brand you want. Mattel has a set, but those aren't usually sold at the parks (that I'm aware of, anyway). I know The Disney Store has a set too but, once again, that won't be available at the park either. My guess, though, is that you'll find a park-friendly equivalent. Good luck!

Thank you for your answer!

I believe the set I've seen on Ebay was from WDW. Isn't there a Disney Store at WDW?

The WDW stores carry different merchandise, for the most part, than what you'd find at The Disney Store at the mall (or online). Downtown Disney has a huge World of Disney store, but it only carries park merchandise (basically just the same stuff you'll find everywhere else, but in larger quantities), pretty similar to Disneyland Paris. (I saw you were recently there, like me!) The Disney Store on the Champs-Élysées is completely different (at least from what I could tell) from the Disney Store at Disney Village.

Yes, that's true...to my opinion they had nicer stuff at the store in Paris than they did at the park...

Is there a Disney store in Florida then?

OT: was it your first visit in Paris and did u like it?

It looks like this is your best bet, depending upon whether or not you decide to rent a car and/or want to venture out of Disney paradise during your trip:

The Florida Mall
8001 South Orange Blossom Trail
Orlando, FL 32809

Paris was amazing. I taught at an international school in Berlin for 7 weeks and was able to take a quick weekend trip before going back home. I had never been (in fact, that was where I had wanted to teach, but I wasn't able to get a placement there), and it was seriously a dream come true -- not one disappointment! :tink:

THanks for the address!

Yeh, we do plan on renting a car for a day or two...

Glad u had a good time in Paris. My French is really non-existant and their English was a bit shoddy as well, but thankfully (and hopefully) we won't have that problem in WDW....:P

From DisneyParksBlog:

Hi everyone. I’m thrilled to start off the day by breaking another exciting announcement here on the Disney Parks Blog about two new Specialty Room offerings coming to the Walt Disney World Resort – health and wellness suites and Royal Guest Rooms.

Image

Beginning this fall, guests looking for some rest and relaxation can indulge in new health and wellness suites, which will debut at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. These suites will feature bamboo flooring, 100-percent cotton linens, non-allergenic wrapped mattresses – as well as great views of Magic Kingdom Park and Bay Lake. Bathrooms on this floor also will be equipped with rainwater showers and tea tree oils.

Image

Guests staying in these suites also can enjoy the benefit of having cardio equipment right in their room. And they’ll have daily access to seasonal and organic fresh foods at the concierge lounge, and can enjoy yoga sessions and spa treatments at the resort’s renovated wellness studio.

Image

Exciting enhancements also are taking place over at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, with 512 Royal Guest Rooms planned to debut by March 2012. The story behind these lush rooms is that Princess Tiana (“The Princess and The Frog”) invited some of her royal pals – Belle (“Beauty and the Beast”), Jasmine (“Aladdin”) and more – for a vacation getaway. Princes and princesses of all ages can enjoy their luxurious lodging quarters, which will include ornate beds that feature headboards with fiber-optic special effects, and gold and crystal accents. Guests also can enjoy artwork and special mementos left by Tiana’s royal friends.

So I knew earlier when they had guests answer if there was any interest in these new specialty rooms that the princess one would definitely come out but I was REALLY hoping the Haunted Mansion rooms would also come out :(

The Haunted Mansion enhancements are brilliant! The queue line has interactive walls & final resting places.(Mr. Toad is still at the exit. Had to make sure he was still a resident!) The end of the attraction that features the hitchhiking ghosts boarding your doom buggy is enhanced as well. The ghosts playfully switch riders heads to the others body! Tiki room is currently closed for refurb. Not sure if it's an annual cleaning, or a total show refurb with new storyline.

OMG AWESOME! SO GLAD TIANA IS FINALLY GETTING SPEICAL TREATMENT AT DISNEY WORLD! :D And they did it in the perfect hotel too since the hotel is New Orleans-themed too. And the room is gorgeous. And I see Rapunzel is the painting with the Princesses too :D

Here's the best link I've found. It doesn't give much away:

I like the fact that they've kept the original in Disneyland, but I really liked Under New Management.
