DISNEY PRE-ORDER OF PRINCESS AND FROG DVD/BLU-RAY

Post by msh1975 »

hi everyone, i just responded to the DMC for the month and i got an email stating that starting february 9th 2010, the disney movie club will be taking pre-orders for the princess and frog. however the email did not state the official release date for it  this is the first time ever that the dmc is taking pre-orders for a dvd. im hoping that this site will post a release date for it asap before the feb 9th dmc pre-order. my guess is that it will be march 30 so that they can be used as easter presents for kids etc..... since easter is on sunday april 4th. thats my best guess but who knows with disney....lol.

Now the club has The Princess and the Frog (it was my featured title): $21.95 for the DVD, $31.95 for the Blu-ray, plus you get the 3D card. They also have a Double Feature with Disney Princess Enchanted Tales and the DVD of TP&tF for $32.95. I declined, because I can probably buy it for $15.99, or cheaper if there's a coupon, when it comes out.

I pre-ordered it through disneystore.com, but I just wanted to point out that this isn't the first time that the DMC has offered a pre-order. They did it with Santa Buddies in November. It wasn't advertised as a pre-order, but it was the featured title before it's release date and they didn't ship it until the release day.
I'm currently watching and reviewing every Disney film in chronological order. You can follow along at my blog, The Disney Films, and also follow me on Twitter.

I called the DMC regarding about when it would ship and they said it would ship on the release date of March 16 and it would arrive to me in 7-10 bussiness days and I would be one of the first to receive the movie....I thought to myself though not as quick as if I went to Wal-Mart at Midnight and I said thanks for the info...

This is currently my featured title, but I think I will decline it and just buy it at my local Target the day it comes out.

They also did it with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs DVD. I believe they had a double feature of Snow White and Santa Buddies.

:D I pre-ordered it as the featured title, and picked up the pin too. Yay! Now I don't have to worry about waiting for the release date, since I know it'll just show up at my doorstep someday!
