UK Snow White Blu Ray release confirmed as November 2nd 2009
The UK release of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is now confirmed as the 2nd of November 2009 , almost a month after the US and European countries such as France and Germany release dates which are all on October 6th!!
Why we in the UK have to wait so long goodness knows , but I'm really pissed off that we have such a long wait!

Wow ... good to see someone still posts in this forum!
I too am annoyed at the UK delay, since living in Malta, I hunt UK discs. Though I guess I could import the German or French releases if I wanted to.
Blu-ray makes disc selecting tricky for me. Since multi-regional DVD players are widely available here, it was never a problem for me to import a US disc when the European equivalent was unsatisfactory (e.g. Brother Bear Pan and Scan UK disc). But I've yet to hear of multi-regional Blu-ray dsic players, and the one we bought a couple of months ago is locked to Region B. So I'm somewhat limited.
Could it be that future firmware updates might render current players multi-regional (for Blu-ray playback)?

There are a few BD multi-region players at the moment (the Momitsu brand is supposed to be really good) but I feel there will be more multi zone machines trundled out when the format becomes more popular with regular households.Julian Carter wrote:Wow ... good to see someone still posts in this forum!

Lots of the American companies still issue their BD titles in multi-zone format (Warners, most of Sony, Genius Products). And even some titles that are marked as Region A are still playable on Region B-only devices. It pays to research, just as you said.
