Welcome to the board, Mystique.

As far as we know at the moment, this is only being released R1. But it will more than likely see the light of day elsewhere later in the year (if history is a guide).

Yes, it should be. This is a topic regarding a future DVD (hopefully) in another country, so yes! it should be in international DVD.

From the BBFC listings, it appears we'll be getting single discs. That said, most of the vault disney films don't have a high appeal outside of America - films like Old Yeller and Pollyanna are obviously American films and appeal more to American audiences. Old Yeller will never be regarded as a classic in the UK.

But The Love Bug, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Swiss Family Robinson would - sadly The Love Bug is a single disc (in the Herbie Box) and 20,000 Leagues has only had half the supplements rated.

As for Alice In Wonderland - most sites show this as Deleted (although Blackstar list the DVD as available and only the VHS as Deleted). I would guess something will show-up before the end of the year. Especially as Disney UK don't class it as Limited Availability in their Lion King booklet of DVD releases.

To be honest the animated classics really are the films that make the money here in Europe and since theres only two (non platinum) of them that haven't been released on DVD over here yet (Make Mine Music and Mulan) then Disney really still need to keep DVD's for the animated films coming.

My guess is we'll see a release for Mulan first in the new year and then the Alice 2 disc after that. Its obvious we wont be seeing a Make Mine Music release for a while  .

Well, they did release Mulan for a nano-second. I've no idea why they don't just reissue it with the headbutt edited out (or even a higher rating if they don't want to spend the money!)

Well yes they did release it then but that doesn't count because that was only one of those Limited Edition release's anyway and they've re-released the other non platinum films like Pinocchio and Peter Pan.

Its strange because they've released it without the headbutt on video they might as well just use that print if they don't want the PG rating.
