I wondered what Mr Toad's Wild Ride was. It appears to be The Wind In The Willows renamed.

This is not a Disney title in the rest of the world, and was financed by Pathe (part of Fox Studios) when it was made.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Hopefully all of these will be in widescreen (OAR)! I'll definitely pick up The Gnome Mobile and Sun of Flubber if they are.

LOL, funny how they have room on their catalog DVDs for needless introductions by amoral ex-presidents and studio suits but they don't have space to include some really important features on their big DVDs - like the original theatrical cut of The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, and the original making ofs, and the TLK trailers, and other things from the laserdisc that didn't make the port. They've got their priorities out of whack.

As I recall, after Ruby Bridges first aired on the WWoD programming block ABC hosted an interview with the real Ruby Bridges. Wouldn't it be better to include that instead??

They may very well not be; at least we know they can't (or at least 'won't likely') screw up the TV movies...those were created and aired in 4:3.

 That's actually from the video description, and I assume they'll carry it over. I'd be flabbergasted (in a good way) if any of the made-for-TV movies had special features; although ALL of the recent Disney Channel originals have little featurettes on the making, which would be easy to include. After all, Disney runs them ad nauseam whenver an airing is about to occur.

Return to Oz (1985) ($13.99)
Dorothy finds herself back in the land of her dreams and makes delightful new friends (like Tik Tok, Jack Pumpkinhead, and the Gump) and dangerous new enemies (the creepy Wheelers, the head-hunting Princess Mombi, and the evil Nome King). With every twist in the yellow brick road, you'll find awesome new surprises and special effects that will astound you! Stars Fairuza Balk.
Anyone know what the difference is between this Amazon pre-order and the current edition for a dollar cheaper?

This one is being released by Disney. The old one was released by Anchor Bay, but their contract expired. My guess is the upcoming reissue is simply a repackaging of the old disc sans any Anchor Bay trademarks and replaced with Disney ones.

Hmm... so what is the reason for the price increase?

Granted it's not very significant; but some online retailers go even cheaper than Amazon. I believe it's about a $3 difference over at Video Universe. Has the Anchor Bay version been discontinued rendering this "updated" version the exclusive medium or something? It doesn't make much sense.. sure it's only a dollar or so, but why pay extra for the same product? I'm just wondering if it has an extra bonus feature, a commentary track, 5 minutes of footage or even an extra trailer to justify the update. I could even recognize the signifigance if the packaging were to be redone, however a trademark logo... ?

We simply just don't know what these re-releases are going to be. In the case of Return to Oz, I think a straight repackaging would be better than Disney putting together a new disc, which if it's like their DVDs for the other live action films from the decade, would be pan & scan only and lose the few extras the Anchor Bay disc had. Or maybe they're going to put a few additional features on it. Most of Disney's catalogue titles for next year are priced at $19.99 SRP, so it could be they're not even thinking about what the AB disc is currently priced at.

I'll buy Midnight Madness if it's widescreen, but if that's just a repackaging, I'll pass. That is just $14.99 SRP, like the subpar AB disc.

defiantely will be getting several of these titles. Wish more were in Widescreen though. The one with Bill Clinton Commentary is worth getting for that. Could have less Eisner though!
