I think this is going to make me have one of my "Homer Simpson sees a donut" moment.

I might get this. I already have the one with next to no special features, and I really don't know if I like this movie enough to buy it again. The bonus stuff looks great though.

a BIT disapointed

I'm a BIT disapointed. Not sure that the "new digital transfert" will make me consider to buy it ... The bonus features look great, but...

Because I already have The Ultimate ToyBox, I will probably pass... or wait the reviews on UD to decide... or not!

I don't think this release is meant for those who already own the UTB. Rather, it is meant for those who missed out on it, or only wish one of the two movies. The singular versions of the films that were released don't look that hot, and contain almost no bonus features.

Thus, because of this, I don't think they were really aiming to top the toybox, and because of this, if you own the toybox already, there is no real impetus for you to upgrade, is there?

The only reason I can see people "upgrading" (especially considering some of the recent discussions) would be "to get a slipcover", to which I have to reply OMG. (But I'm not going to get into that whole discussion)

I missed out on the UTB (and absolutely refuse to pay the exorbinate prices on ebay) and thus am really excited about this release. However, I really don't see the impetus for your disappointment, you honestly couldn't expect something to top the UTB, could you? (From what I understand it's one of the best box sets ever released, even though I haven't seen it)
Cheers!

Who here likes the cover for Toy Story (Anniversary Edtion)? I thought it was going to be a little better than this ^^. I thought it was going to have all the characters of the movie, and have the two main stars in front (Woody, and Buzz). Anyways I hope it will have a SLIPCOVER (flip one)....I will be buying this movie when it comes out, becasue i don't own it, and I HOPE they will release Toy Story 2 also!!!!! Casue I need these two movies to complete my PIXAR COLLECTION until....CARS........

Ohh yeah the cover looks like it will have a shiny effect kind of the MARRY POPPINS (LOL Pasta67) Slipcover, and BUGS LIFE....what do you guys think?

Looks like the slip cover will be clear and the foil will be on the holder thing, like the UTB.

Definitely a buy and hopefully Toy Story 2 comes out as well. Only 2 I don't have from Pixar after buying A Bug's Life last weekend.

I've updated the large artwork to show that it does look like it will come with a slipcover. And we all know that's an essential decision-affecting factor.

I love it! For once the US gets a very classy cover and not so childish! I hope Isreal will see the same cover!
