BAMBI Platinum Edition DVD Press Release
Can I buy 2 and get 2 thumpers? Do I have to pay online or can I pay instore? thnxLuke wrote:That's right. Tuesday morning, you can order and you should be able to pick it up later that day.RJKD23 wrote: i thought that too, then I read again what Luke said..."you can pick up the order in-store beginning Tuesday"
so i'm thinking if I don't "pre-order" and wait till Tuesday @ midnight, then they IN-STORE pick up will be available.
NO. those stupid annoying side clasps. I don't care if its a security measure! they're terrible! especially if you're in a hurry to open the DVD!Tony wrote:The only thing that is bad is those annoying side clasps on the DVD case... I can see those breaking very easy if your not careful..

Just a suggestion if you don't like the spine of the DVD slip cover with Bambi's ear showing on it....
If you simply reverse the DVD when displaying it... the other spine has a much nicer dark green look... (without Bambi's ear) and when the DVD's are lined up next door to each other, you really can't tell you have used the alternative spine.
It still has the small pic of Bambi down the bottom, so it doesn't look out of place on the shelf next to your other Disney DVD's.

mine didn't have the side clamps either, well, not after i removed itMadonnasManOne wrote:Mine didn't have the annoying side clamps. I'm glad!
However, I'm telling you, I think it's really cheap of Disney to put a piece of sticky goo to hold the slipcase cover, instead of the velcro. That stupid goo doesn't even hold the cover shut, and I removed it, because it was so annoying!
i also removed the goo stuff, seriously, What were they thinking and did they actually think it was a good idea.
I can't buy it this week!! T^T So broke. v.v
But I will get it next week and my friend got it today at Best Buy with the Thumper plushie for $15.99 I doubt they'll have it that cheap with the plushie next week but... one can dream.
Those side clasps and the glue shutter are soooo annoying... What was Disney thinking? I want the velcro shutter back, at least.

Wherever. Whatever. Have a nice day.
the $15.99 sale price is only untill Monday of next week, so are the Plushs but each Best Buy only received 100 Thumpers (so i heard), and when i was waiting in line about 75% of the people there all had a Bambi + Thumper in there hands, so i don't think they will last the whole week.
the Thumpers are not individually priced so you just pick it up when you walk in, but there is no one watching you actually buy the movie, and even though they told me (no sign anywhere) Limit 1 Per Person, but i was tempted to get 2 because my sister saw a lady get a thumper, but never bought the movie, just some cds. the only reason I didn't get another is because i thought of others, i know i would have been mad if i arrived and they were sold out of Thumper Plush so i left it there for someone else. they were all in a big box and you just grab one.

hehe, if you don't care about the plush, circuit city has it for $14.99.Key wrote:Yeh, I went with my friend and saw the 2 big boxes filled with Thumper plushies.
I actually don't care that much whether or not I get the doll, as I'm not a huge collector of them, I just want the $15.99 pricetag. ):

Hey everyone,
Just got the Bambi DVD today, but I didn't get the Thumper plush that everyone is talking about. But I did get something different.
Bambi memory card game! Basically its a box of 24 cards (12 have duplicates) and you face them down and try to pick 2 with the same pic. There are 12 different scenes from the movie on the cards which show them in framed portrait. They're bigger than playing cards and they're glossy. The back of the cards have the "Bambi 2 disc special edition" logo on a black background. The cards come in a black box.
I could have went to Best Buy/Future Shop to get the Thumper GWP but I like these cards a lot better!
My DVD case didn't have the clasps on the opening.
Was the DVD supposed to come with a mini Disney magazine thing or something? I remember reading about it but can't remember if that was in the Bambi DVD or the Incredibles DVD
