Re: I'm Doing the Disney College Program!!!
Congratulations!
How do you go about joining the Disney program anyway? (I assume you have to be in college...? Or is just joining the program count as "college," so to speak?)

Ariana Grande ~ "we can't be friends (wait for your love)"
Ariana Grande ~ "imperfect for you"
Kacey Musgraves ~ "The Architect"

Re: I'm Doing the Disney College Program!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Both of you! I did my WDW college program in 2012, and even though it could be stressful and tiring, it was an awesome experience. I hope both of you enjoy it. One of my good friends did custodial at Magic Kingdom, and she loved it. She told me the best stories about her interactions with guests.
I just got accepted into part-time attractions at California Adventure at DLR. I go sign my paperwork tomorrow. We'll be able to keep the theme park thread pretty current between all three of us!

Congrats all around!
I'm just an old dad who visits WDW frequently (going next week) but *may* be relocating to Southern California this summer (if I get the job I am interviewing for), so I will have to hassle all of you!

I'm very sad to say that I can no longer do the DCP. My dad has been diagnosed with cancer and he needs me. This is a very hard decision for me to make. So, yeah I'm devasted.
Re: I'm NOT Doing the Disney College Program!!!
Oh my gosh disneyprincess11, I am so so sorry to hear that
I wish your father all the best and a speedy recovery, and that you'll have the strength to get through this.

disneyprincess11, I know we don't see eye to eye on today's Disney movies, but even I know when to put such arguments aside when there are issues in a person's life that are clearly more important to care about. So, I'm sorry to hear about your dad.

Re: I'm Doing the Disney College Program THIS SPRING!!!
Thanks everyone. I'm happy to say that Disney just worked out a deferment for me and my family. So, I'm doing the DCP this SPRING as Merchandise (My dream role )
I was going to go this semester. My parents got my approval, despite my father's cancer, but it was a very hard choice to make. I have never been so stressed out in my life. When the Disability Services called me about my new job yesterday, my dad's cancer somehow popped out and the woman said, "You should not be going then. Let's see if we can defer you." And they did. So, my heartbreak has a happy ending! See you guys this spring!
