Its been rumoured for a while and now Disney have confirmed that Test Track will be closing for a major refurbishment in April and will reopen some time in the Autumn. It will now be presented by Chevrolet instead of GM and the waiting area sounds like it become next-gen; otherwise the concept of the ride sounds the same.
Nice to see another WDW park getting some needed attention. All in all, for me this is very good news as this is one of my favourite rides.

Most likely the refurbishment is to fix technical machinery that could not function correctly or to to re-polish the attraction to generate more audience. Some attractions change the theme or facade of the attraction to be more appeal for current generations.DisneyJedi wrote:Presented by Chevrolet instead of GM? Why? And why with the refurbishment? What else could be added/fixed to the ride?
I don't think the changing is in same vein as such like Haunted mansion where they add new additions or changes to attraction like the queue or changing portraits.
It's more likely it's something along like HM fixing it's sounds to be more clearer and smooth. Technical stuff like that.
