I've just found a few new exclusive titles in widescreen (1.85:1) in R2 (Germany):

Cheetah (Abenteuer in Kenia)
http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B ... 71-9262129

Never Cry Wolf (Wenn die Wölfe heulen)
http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B ... 71-9262129

Benji (Benji - Sein größtes Abenteuer)
http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B ... 71-9262129

Night Crossing (Mit dem Wind nach Westen) is also new, but foolscreen!
I hope the R1 version next year will be widescreen!

Wow, that's an awesome site and the screenshots confirm it. Thanks so much for all your great info, Carlo. R2 Germany/Dutch DVD releases are so often widescreen when they're not here. And I hear they got Knight in Camelot, too...but I can't find that on Amazon.de.

I'm pleasantly surprised that Cheetah is 16:9 widescreen - Journey of Natty Gann almost certainly will be when it's released in the UK and Germany, too. Thanks!!

You're welcome.

I couldn't find "Ein Ritter in Camelot" or "Natty Gann" (their German titles) anywhere either.
These DVDs don't seem to be released anytime soon in Germany (or the UK), only in the Netherlands and Belgium. :x

That's Buena Vista Europe to you!

Hey Luke, thanks for the tip with The Journey of Natty Gann and Heavyweights. I've just ordered them at amazon.de.

Do you know if Shipwrecked will also be in widescreen?
