At least on my copy...
During the special features only, there's brief French subtitling that flashes on the screen. Even when I turn the subtitles off, they remain to identify the French translations of names and titles.
Does anyone else have this issue? I've played the disc on my Sony Blu-ray and Playstation 3 with the same results.

Yes, it does this on my UK copy. Apart from one time IIRC which is rather strange, as I did nothing special when watching it.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database
