have th 64 game on my wii though.
Ha! Well, I actually never got a chance to be a fan. I've never owned any Nintendo consoles (only a PSone and PS2, which I no longer have as I gave them to my nephews) so this is the first time I'm playing a Mario-themed game seriously.

EDIT: I just realised the above is not quite true. As a kid I used to play Super Mario Bros. on my Commodore 64, but it wasn't an official Nintendo release. I believe it was a fan-modified version of The Great Giana Sisters (another C64 game which bore great similarities to Mario).

Got a Kinect yesterday so I've been playing Kinect Adventures. Trying to get my hands on a copy of Dance Central. I have to say even though I was skeptical at first, the Kinect is a very impressive piece of hardware.

On PS3 my current love and game which I spend most of my time playing is Gran Turisimo 5. This game is probably the best of the series and with the graphics on the PS3, it is like you are behind the wheel of a real car.

I spend some time with Star Wars Force Unleashed II also. But the game only has four levels, and I have been there, done that and got the t-shirt. Great game in the Easy and Medium modes. Am getting ready to tackle it in the Expert mode, which will be pretty tough, I imagine.

Just for kicks, dragged out my Sega Genesis and played Road Rash for about two hours last Sunday. I forgot how much fun that game was and wish that they had this available for PS3 or XBox 360.

:D

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - I started a new file. This is probably my favorite game of 2010.

My Life as a King - Still working on this. The adventurers can be annoying at times (when they take forever to get ready to actually head out).

As for myself, I'm playing Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island on a SNES emulator (on my PC), only I've reached level 1-6 and the graphics keep acting up. Something is seriously wrong with either the emulator or the ROM I'm using.

Ah! I loved that game, I had it on the SNES when it came out back in the 90s. Its so cool how you have all the different Yoshis and stuff. I like to play old games all the time. I used to play on emulators a lot back before I finally replaced my SNES. I now have an original NES, SNES, DS, and Wii. I'm a Nintendo girl through and through (with the exception of a PS2) I think they came out with a DS version of Yoshi's Island a couple years ago.. I should pick that up. Super Mario Bros. 3 will always be my favorite game though.

Anyways, I just started playing Epic Mickey last night..

I recently bought some new games. I will seperately voice my opinion on each of them.

1.Picross 3D (DS) - A surprisingly fun and addictive puzzle game. The only annoying thing is that it takes a while to get the rules of it down.

2.Red Dead Redemption (XBOX 360) - Very violent, but very fun, even though I have never played the first game (Red Dead Revolver). Some of the missions are kind of frustrating. If you like games like Grand Theft Auto, I say give it a try.

3.WarioWare: D.I.Y (DS) Definetly not the best in the WarioWare series. You have to wait a day to unlock new characters for the standard microgames and the part on making your own games is very annoying.

I played Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep early last month. Good game.

I'm currently playing Final Fantasy XIII. I'm always behind the crowd. I only just got the PS3 this Christmas, so...

KH and FF are really the only series I (can afford to) follow. I'm pretty sure Kingdom Hearts re:Coded is coming out January 11th, and I've saved up some money for that. I'll probably be playing it when I get it. Thankfully, it's on the Nintendo DS, which I got a few years ago for 358/2 Days. Too bad the next spin-off is on Nintendo 3DS. :x

On my DS, I am playing Kingom Hearts Re:Coded. I think it's kind of fun, but it can get pretty frustrating at times.

I also ordered 9 Persons 9 Doors 9 Hours for my DS, but I won't get it for a couple weeks :x

I'm playing KH Re:Coded on my DS, and it is frustrating at times, but the gameplay wipes Days' gameplay off the map.

Fun Fact, they intended to go the Sprite route(speech bubbles at the bottom of the screen with character portraits right next to them to indicate who's talking)but they chose to go with 2D graphic cutscenes with full-character sprites. The original portrait sprites can be found in the coding.

Little Big Planet 2 on my PS3. Picked it up at midnight and haven't slept a wink since. I thought LBP1 was addicting, but this is ridiculous. Also playing Need For Speed Hot Pursuit on the PS3.

Is the game better than the first? Are more people online than they are on the first?

The game is lots better and there isn't an end to it, because there are more levels online.

I don't play any games on line because of the vulgarities of most people who play on line. I have just as much fun with family and friends, and I dont have to worry about an "f-bomb" being dropped on me for no reason..

I have had nothing but bad experiences on line with any game, so it's not just this type of game, but every game I have every tried to play with my PS3.

I recently finished The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks after getting back into it. The last boss was a bit of a pain.

Now I am juggling between Dragon Quest V and Kirby: Super Star Ultra

I keep dying on the tower area in DQV (Guess I need to level up).

Kirby is a bit of a fun throwback to the SNES era.

Well, thank god for those online games that both exclude microphones and censor f-bombs then. the only examples of those I can think of are PC though.

I haven't seen any games mentioned for a while...

I've restarted Lego Star Wars, I beat the first one, and now I'm almost done with LSW II: The Original Trilogy.

Also, Mods, what do you think? Should the following thread:
http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27070
be merged with this one?

The OP of the other thread saw this thread as "played recently" (past tense), while his thread was "currently playing" (present tense). Is that a valid argument, or should the threads be merged?

Maybe they could be merged, and this thread be changed to "What Cool Video Games are you Now Playing / Played Recently?"

On my Nintendo DS, I started over on Pokemon: HeartGold Version a while back. I made it past the first 8 gym leaders this time and I am now training for the Elite Four.

As for 3DS, I am playing between two games. Super Street Fighter IV was the first game I got for my 3DS is pretty fun, though it's a pain to learn combos and I almost always end up getting KO'd.

The second game, which I bought today, was Nintendogs + Cats (French Bulldog version). It's a fun game (a guilty pleasure for someone like me) but it's best taken in small doses.
