Sad, though not entirely unexpected. The man was a revolutionary, a word I don't toss about lightly, and a fantastic artist. I still remember seeing a production of "The Nutcracker" he designed as a child, and that was years ago. He also gave several of the greatest crotchety interviews I've ever heard, as well he should have.
Also, you know, he was gay, so... it's cool to have him in the club.
