I loved you in the costume, but I didn't memorize your last name. I can't even find you on there anymore.xxhplinkxx wrote:Mike, you should know my full name. We were friends on Facebook for quite sometime. Or did you forget my Prince Eric costume?
Oh so NOW you like her in that dress? And I think the figure's amazingly beautiful except for the face.Super Aurora wrote:I found this which kick so much ass I want it badly. It's designed by Kaori Mori who does the manga called Victorian Romance Emma. I want get this. BAD.

where did I ever say that? I just like the statue and how it's made.Disney Duster wrote: Oh so NOW you like her in that dress?
Well the face is like that cause it's in the style of Kaoru Mori's since she the one who design the concept of the statue and the illustration.Disney Duster wrote:And I think the figure's amazingly beautiful except for the face.

Yea but you want it bad even though she's in that dress...ugh never mind I just don't get why Disney's original design in that dress isn't good to you but now this statue is.Super Aurora wrote:where did I ever say that? I really dig that Aurora Anime style statue, though I like the face better in the drawing than in the final statue. I think the smile she has is prettier in the drawing. Also, I do LOVE Anime girls, but my face preference for them is the cutesier, bigger-eyed/smaller nosed Sailor Moon-faced style. I do tend to like big-eyed/small nosed girls in general in real-life too, ha ha. I'm not saying the style used isn't more appropriate for Aurora. I do think maybe her face should be a bit more angular/longer though, since that is what really sets the character apart from the other princesses for me, even though it makes her less my type (still gorgeous though).
Here is one of several Star Wars animated-style maquettes I'd like to get. Though I have a lot of Star Wars merchandise (maybe need to clear some out), I don't have any sculptures, and I really like the animated style ones, some more than others, of course. This one actually is pretty affordable. Though, I can't really buy anything right now till I find a job and can move out of my sister's place.
Here's another, though it's the girls I really want more than anything, Padme and Leia, though I don't like the gold bikini animated Leia as much as the Episode 4 one, but I can't find any pics on Amazon right now, and pics I get elsewhere don't usually seem to work here.
Here is a very hot female Ghostbuster Bishoujo statue I really wouldn't mind getting! I saw it in a comic shop once too, and I wish I'd picked it up. However, I'm not sure what it's made of. I do have one Bishoujo Zatanna, but she is just made of plastic (from that Anime-Con line, but one of the early ones, which weren't made as well as the later ones but had cuter outfits/designs).
Here are a few of the WDCC statues I want the most:
The mermaids in pan were just too gorgeous:
I really love to get characters not often seen in merchandise, like Johnny Appleseed here:
(there's also a nice film scene base for this)
Again, those are just a few I found on Amazon. There are some others I want just as much. One of my favorites that I do own is Uncle Scrooge from Scrooge McDuck and Money, as he is my favorite cartoon character. I will have to find a pic of him sometime to post here.
Thanks! My collection is a rather affordable one since it is still in early stages, so most of them were bought on Ebay with the best deals I could find, or in other cheap ways. It's my effort to mature my overall movie/cartoon collectibles collection by having fewer toys and more statues, replicas, and wall art, and things like that. Yeah, there are definitely similarities among that era of Disney girls, just as there are among the 90's era. That's cool though, as I really dig those two styles of girls, ha. I have some Tink sculptures, of course, as she and Ariel are my main two Disney girls (well, and Rapunzel now), but none of them are WDCC sculptures, so someday I hope to either replace them with WDCC's, or at least add some, along with the Electric Tiki ones.Sky Syndrome wrote:I've never compared the singing harp to Tinkerbell's design till I saw that pic in your post. Gorgeous statue! Your collection is marvelous. When I look at the Shaggy Dog statue, I have a hard time not thinking of Gurgi in pajamas.slave2moonlight wrote:

I want it cause it's a awesome looking statue regardless of what dress she's wearing. Also i'm a fan of Kaoru Mori's work. That's the other reason.Disney Duster wrote: Yea but you want it bad even though she's in that dress...ugh never mind I just don't get why Disney's original design in that dress isn't good to you but now this statue is.
If there is statue of of Aurora in peasant outfit I would of got that too (I know there is few by Disney but way too much money for me now).
You just have an annoying habit of jumping to big conclusions, Mike.

Disney Duster wrote:I wasn't jumping to a conclusion. I was trying to figure you out, so I said something (that you call a conclusion) to provoke you to explain yourself. I'm just frustrated with your hate for the original pretty designs but this statue you don't hate.
Seriously?(and was my previous reason not good enough for you?)
Also when did I ever say I hate the original dress? All I said it that like and prefer the peasant outfit better on Aurora. You're making huge deal over absolutely nothing.

I do find them "shitty poofiness". But that alone isn't gonna prevent me from liking a statue if I like it.Disney Duster wrote:That's not what it sounded like when you called them "shitty poofy" dresses but whatever you say.

I got my sexy Faith in the mail yesterday!
Also, I forget to mention I also own these two, too:
I got them free from Disney Movie Rewards. I'd been saving points since 2006, finally used them

Nice! I kinda had my eye on that Little Mermaid pair, but I have a hard time saving my points. Actually, it's just that I really like to get the DMC DVDs they have. It was amazing I saved up long enough to get the Nemo statue. I was really trying to get the Dumbo one, but it sold out.

I'd never really wanted anything I'd ever seen on DMR, but when I saw these on there, I couldn't pass them up. I was just happy that after 6 years of saving points, I finally found something worth getting. I thought I'd be doomed saving up points forever!

I'm so excited! I just received my Michelangelo in the mail!
He's freaking badass! so much detail. Much more impressive in person than any pic can show. And I have Leonardo coming in the mail, too. I'm halfway to completing the set!!!
