Amazing and Great News:

I had my 4the epidural a week ago and my back is finally doing better. For the past few months I've had to move around in a wheelchair and couldn't walk and was constantly in pain.

I was able to walk into the movie theater for the first time since the Avengers. I can walk a lot better and I have two more epidurals in January. Also getting clawed by a cat or getting an IV surprisingly hurts worse than an epidural.

my dad was accused of violating the American Disability act and provoked a student to throw a fit which is totally bull crap and they forced him to go into early retirement in December

The kid lunged himself at my dad and started beating my dad up. My dad then panicked and they had to take a take down on the kid, once he was under control my dad went to the office and had a meltdown. Which with Asperger Syndrome it's not the same exacting thing a fit. It's kinda a mental breakdown but it's hard to tell. I call them Panic attacks more. So yeah they had to close off the school office due to my dad having the said fit. They are almost like seizures. The kid was also autistic.

Also my dad can't put on his own shoes or socks either.

The Union rep came to our house and my dad ultimately decided to retire.

he main person who wrote the the report was the speech teacher

and it was 11 pages long

The union rep was amazing. He was so kind and my dad brought up retirement and he said that's what the school was thinking. Although now there's a hiccup in the plan thanks to my favorite nut house of doctors

He asked if my dad was sure about the retirement and offered him to wait but my dad so he didn't want to wait

He has been showing signs of early dementia/ Alzheimer's

The paper requires two doctors to sign it, His psychiatrist and his primary. His psychiatrist signed it no problem, but he primary said he thought dad could work and said he doesn't do disability and thats for the union/school to decide not him. And now in one week if the doctor doesn't sign it, he loses his pay, insurance ect. also this is the same office that I love that gave me my belly issues and threw me out. In a way it's our own fiscal cliff.

The rep went with my dad to see the doctor and he said that he needed to say my dad's papers and gave us a release to get them Luckily my sister was in town and took the papers to our old town where the psychiatrist is. We will pick the papers up on Thursday and get them to the doctor in Mattoon.

Also they said the couldn't fax the papers because they had no way of knowing if the fax number was a secure line. Also they said that my sister who was out already pick the paper up because they coudln't be sure she would take them to us. My mom grouched and they said okay she can pick them up. So she did and now she took them to the pyschiatrist in Greenville. We'll pick them up on Thursday.

This is the same doctor's office who threw me out, took me off my belly pills. My parents will be switching doctors in the very near future

Also the Union Rep said he is on the Carle Board of Directors, so that's good to know if the primary doesn't sign the paper. He could be a great ally if things go south

So good news my back is doing great, the bad news is that we have a headache from this medical people in Mattoon. Please keep us in your prayers and thoughts. My dad is really blaming himself and feels beyond depressed.

I feel like a failure. I let down my friend, my family is in pain because of a dumb doctor. I keep having problem after problem after problem. Can't for once I savor the moment of victory than have another problem come up after I solved one. Pray. I'm very depressed and feel like giving up and I feel like I'm a lost cause.

I'm so sorry to hear about that happening to your father. I personally plan to retire as soon as possible anyway; being a teacher is stressful because every situation is delicate these days. When I student taught, I witnessed a meeting between my teacher and a girl with a disability's family, and it was really awful. Overall, I didn't think my teacher deserved the lynchmob that meeting was like. I can't give anymore details, but, yes, teaching is a very difficult job, where everyone involved seems to always be on the verge of a lawsuit (with the teacher being the one taking the fall, of course).

I really wouldn't blame yourself for the medical problems you're having. It wouldn't be someone's fault that they've been diagnosed with cancer, even if it's hard on the family that has to support them. Life is really nothing but going from one problem to another, so you shouldn't let yourself get depressed. Don't make me post a video of the Miley Cyrus song-that-shall-not-be-named.

Don't do that. I'll have to fly over there and slap you silly for feeling like that, especially over a statue for me.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I won't give up, no matter what is to come. I have trouble sometimes believing in myself, it's one of my fatal flaws. I don't give myself enough credit.

However I would like when one crisis ends, I could just savor the done with crisis instead of having a new issue right after the old one is done with. But I'll stay positive and I don't want to be hit either. Deadpool packs a pretty painful punch

Apparently my Ulcerative Colitis is acting up again. I've been getting those old sores in my mouth again and other symptoms which I won't go into too much details.

I'm going to to see the PA who's been following my Ulcerative Colitis on February 7th for a 6 month check up which is, well take it away Casper aka Nostaglia Critic

Okay I went to the Ulcerative Colitis Doctor and he put me a pill for something referred to C-Diff which is an infection. The treatment currently is to having a fecal transplant since the pharmacy said my insurance wouldn't pay for this pill, but I'm going to call the insurance to see if they can make an exception in this case.

Here's some info on what a Fecal Transplant is

A possible donor could be from my mom, dad, or sister. Good grief I don't know whether I should cry or start making jokes.

The Insurance payed for the pill I needed.

Also in April as many of you know, I was diagnosed with Diabetes. A couple of doctors have said that the conditions for Diabetes went into overdrive after having 7 epidural for my Spine over the course of one year. I'm managing my blood sugar and doing insulin. I'm also eating my fruit.

In June, I had one more epidural and I think that did the trick as right now I'm walking in Wal-Mart without pain at all.

UPDATE

My mom's kidney results came back. They are doing better. We are thinking it could have been a pill my mom was on that caused it.

In October I had a sleep study because I decided it was time I get going again on a C-Pap machine for trouble sleeping. The results came back and it showed I didn't need one however the head of the bed was raised.. Now all my life I've needed one and every time I didn't like the idea and refused to use it so my doctor had it re-checked. It came back again that I didn't need a C-Pap. My doctor was dumbfounded as was I.

I'm still walking around with no trouble. I went to see my Ear Nose and Throat Doctor who I haven't seen in a year and she and the nurse were shocked at how well I was walking.

I also got a new GI Belly doctor. I really like him. After I saw him, as my mom and I were waiting for the valet to bring the car, by chance the Sleep Medicine Doctor who sent me to the GI doctor walked in and he was very excited to see how health I was. This sleep medicine doctor saved my life by sending me to the GI Doctor, when the primary doctor was apparently an idiot and wouldn't listen. I thank God every day that I went through that whole hell of going off my pills and then my herniated disc problems or else I would probably be over 500 pounds by now. I recently tried on my Universal Studios Shirt that I got 10 years ago and for the first time in a while, it actually fit. In January I plan on getting my permit so I can start the process of me leanring how to drive. After I get my license is when I'll start looking into the local community college.

Well, didn't think I'd be posting in this thread in the link ever again. I am happy to report though it's good news. I had to see a new GI doctor because the previous one had to retire and ended up seeing the main head of GI at this hospital. The new doctor's name is the name of the clinic.

I informed him of all the insano things I went through, getting excommunicated, not being able to see a doctor at one of the local clinics, even if this GI doctor came to where I live I could not see him, but I could see him in the town an hour away from where I live. In addition, I can't get my blood drawn there either. Now let me be clear, I am glad things worked out how they did, I got an amazing family doctor, now have an amazing GI doctor. That said, I've kinda wanted this reversed. I asked someone locally and they said in order for me to try to be allowed to come just to get blood work, I'd have to right a letter in lamens term say I have to be a good boy kind of letter. Well, the new GI doctor was dumbfounded, and said, the doctor who did this to me can't do that, it's not legal. So, he ordered me blood work to be done at the local clinic where I am banned. I told him that in the system my name comes up and it locks me out. So with this test, if I am turned away, I am to call the new GI doctor because he is gonna step in and say Ahem.... basically he'll say uh no this isn't right and reverse this.

I right now am feeling happier than I have been in a long time, like heavy weight has been lifted off of my shoulder. I can't even begin to explain. Been crying all day, but happy tears. It seems the he second half of this year is going better than the first.

I'm vindicated. just can't believe it, feels like a dream, but one that is finally going to come true. It's a chapter in my life that is now coming to an end, a happy end.

Michael, I'm so glad that your new doctor has your back! Medical care is never fun, and to be mistreated while trying to get that care must be absolutely awful. I hope that the rest of the year just gets better and better for you! You definitely deserve it!

Yep it is. 5 years of stress that I've been dealing with is suddenly gone. It's been a long time coming. I got the feeling that my new GI doctor was like a senior in college about to play a prank on a freshman (doctor who kicked me out.) It's certainly is stress relieve and I can't wait to get my blood tested, or rather not tested so I can call the boss of GI and say yep I wasn't able to get the blood work done) Before this, there was only one other way I could go back and that was to write a letter, basically saying I'll be a good boy..... I mean I was kicked out because I got the referral to GI through a sleep doctor, when the primary refused to send me. I mean it turns out shocker I indeed had what they were denying I had, Crohn's Disease. but I digress, and find solace and comfort that this is gonna happen. Now today I got some big studying to do, got to study for a Biology test that takes place tomorrow at noon. So, I gotta be ready. Wish me luck and thanks for everyone's support.

Edit:

When I get my blood work and spring the trap, I think this song will be in my head.

Well, they are still there, locally here where I live and the same place where I'm gonna get bloodwork, well or not get it. Little do the people at the local clinic know, on October 3rd, will be a trap and there will be no Admiral Ackbar to warn them.

Basically I am gonna have to not get excited when I'm denied blood work. Should be interesting to see what transpires that day. I cannot wait, I'm more excited than Anna was on Coronation day.

So for the first time in forever, I'm gonna be feelingg alright, that what was done years ago is about to be set right, because for the first time in forever I'm getting what I've been dreaming of, the chance to feel vindication, a chance for reconciliation with my passt. I wish it could be today, but realize it will can wait, as long as it goes through, I finally won't feel alone.
