That's great to hear, EW. I think a lot about the board and the people on it when I'm offline and while a lot of people say they're praying for board members in their times of trouble, I think about how it's because of people like you that I'm able to remember just how great the world is.

Another word about our dear friend Escapay. I just realized by reading his Facebook page that he has this thing for some guy named Brett Dodge, and I really think that as soon as the newness wears off, we will see him make small appearances on our forums. Don't know who this Brett Dodge is, but after listening to one of his shows, I am not all going back to that mis-information, albeit review show.

Some clarification is needed. The only misinformation here is from dvdjunkie, who has no idea what he's talking about. In the future, he will no longer be able to offer these misinformed updates as I've removed him from my Facebook.

I've known BRENT (not Brett) Dodge since 2004. He worked with my sister on the college program, and since then, has generally become part of the family. My siblings and I look to him as an honorary brother, the fourth member of our NJ Trilogy. Ever since my younger brother moved down to Florida, the two have become best friends, and whenever the family visits Walt Disney World, we always hang out with him. There is no newness to wear off, because there's nothing "new" about him.

Brent Dodge has written a book about Walt Disney World entitled From Screen to Theme: A Guide to Disney® Animated Film References Found Throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. It was written and published after six years of research and hundreds of trips to Walt Disney World. He's in the process of writing follow-up books, while also maintaining his web site, FromScreenToTheme.com, which holds a wealth of information about the parks, in addition to the interactive features such as "Where in the World?", "Where in the Land?", Trivia of the Day, Picture of the Day, and From Screen to Theme's Days of the Week.

Since 2009, Brent has been hosting "The W.E.D.nesday Show," a weekly video podcast (broadcast live Wednesday nights at 9:30 pm, Eastern Time), dedicated to all things Disney. In addition to "The W.E.D.nesday Show," Brent also does live broadcasts within the parks, entitled "Saturday in the Park." Last November, he interviewed Disney archivist Dave Smith (someone who he's already known for a couple years), and this past Wednesday, he hosted a 24-hour broadcast of "One More Disney Day," taking viewers throughout Magic Kingdom during the entire 24 hours.

Brent Dodge is knowledgeable in all things Disney. He knows it more than anyone else I know of, either in person or online. The greatest testament to that is the fact that his team, the Peoplemovers, won D23's Walt Disney World Scavenger Hunt, beating out renowned Walt Disney World podcasters like Lou Mongello (host of WDWRadio) and Ricky Brigante (host of Inside the Magic). He'll be enjoying his prize later this month: a stay on the newest ship in Disney Cruise Line, the Fantasy.

From 2009 to 2011, I balanced online time between UD and FSTT. I've been a chat-room moderator for "The W.E.D.nesday Show" since its inception, and have been a staff writer for From Screen to Theme's Days of the Week, maintaining the "Saturday Matinee" column. At UD, I was the unofficial Search Nazi, took over the Forum Awards in 2010 (before bequeathing it SpringHeelJack last year), and was able to revisit my reviewing roots by writing a review for the Rita Hayworth DVD box set in 2010.

I left UD in May 2011 for my own reasons, none of which were connected to my being at FSTT. I came back in September to properly say "good night," and again in November/December for Secret Santa. I don't intend on coming back to the forums again unless prompted to for a serious matter (such as my post in nachonaco's thread), or to clear up a lot of misinformation.

I still visit the main page, read reviews, and comment on Facebook. It's the forum I left, not the site.

So...the next time anyone decides to take it upon themselves to inform the good folks of UD what I'm up to, please get your facts straight. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at UD's forums, but my reasons for leaving are mine and mine alone. How dare anyone decide to speak up for me based on their own skewed assumptions.

I'm sorry that this message had to end on a rather sour note. To remedy that, here's a fun moment with Bret McKenzie and Kermit the Frog:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/aDnTo2S2BrA" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Also, if any UDers who I don't already keep in contact with would like keep in touch, e-mail me at "EscapayTheFirst at gmail dot com"

I can attest to what Escapay has already said. While I have yet to meet Brent Dodge in real life, we met through his show, book and website thanks to a link Escapay posted here back on Christmas Eve 2009. Despite not being able to meet Brent in real life I too have created a strong friendship with him. I became a regular on the show throughout 2010, and in 2011 I joined his writing team in order to provide new, daily content in his site.

I write Gamer Tuesday, a column dedicated to highlighting different Disney video games as well as gaming experiences in general. You can read more about the column here:
http://www.fromscreentotheme.com/GamerTuesday.aspx

As Escapay already stated Brent Dodge is very passionate about all things Disney and has dedicated his entire life to bringing his knowledge to the world and other Disney fans. The hard work and sacrifices he has made in order to make his dreams a reality make him an inspiration to me and others, and because of that he has made a lot of incredible friends. Not to mention that he perhaps enjoys the Disney theme parks more than any human being on the planet and doesn't have a cynical bone in his body about it. Everything he says and does is genuine and authentic.

For example, he did this challenge where he visited all four Disney World parks in one day...

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/TdwxoLYDJ-I" frameborder="0"></iframe>

And then in the summer of 2011, he did EVERYTHING at the Magic Kingdom...

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Fy7MA-FF-Hw" frameborder="0"></iframe>

He was also one of the first people to meet Flynn and Rapunzel back in 2010...

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4PSXIvF3qHY" frameborder="0"></iframe>

And like Escapay said, he and his team were the winners of last year's D23 Scavenger Hunt at Disney World, beating the two big WDW podcasters:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/kd0_fup6zXw" frameborder="0"></iframe>

I second Escapay in that if people really want to learn more about old UD members and such to actually contact them rather than to make up back stories and false information and show them around as facts.

Well, it's been 13 days so far... Which points to a recurring or ongoing problem.

I suppose I could guess it was his rampant personal attacks in both the If You Could Change Anything in a Disney Movie and Top 20 Disney Classics threads. Where I warned him he was out of line, derailing discussion, turning people against each other, and then standing around waiting for other people to come tell him he was right.

However, that whole debacle went on for a week in February and the mods didn't do anything about it.

But, I do have these 2 examples:
http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... c&start=32
http://www.dvdizzy.com/forum/viewtopic. ... &start=228

The first caused a storm of controversy, but I want to go on record saying I understand exactly what he was saying and 1 word change (the one in all-cap & bold) would have made everyone else understand as well.

The 2nd is a bad joke. Which he seems to have taken seriously. And, of course, I mean the whole thing. "Concern trolling"??? "Policing what board members should or shouldn't say"???!!! "You want to suck the fun out of everything"?????!!! "Superiority"????!!!!!

The guy was talking into a mirror. If I'd been Sotiris, I'd've been pretty pissed off. But, he handled it like a pro.

I'm back. Least for now. Did I really last post over a year ago here?

Guess I have a big update to give then. Some really great things and really bad things have happened in the last several months.

September 19, I gave birth to my second daughter, Jade Angel. I got the birth I wanted. In my home in the birthing pool. Fully natural, no drugs.

She'll be 6 months old on Monday!! She has brown hair and I think she's going to keep her stunning blue eyes.

In January my hairless cat, Satin and my dwarf rabbit Peace Out, died.
Last month my dog Willow died suddenly.

I'm back at full time at work, so between baby and work I've been busy. I also vowed to finally get healthy. I've lost 8lbs. I'm going to the gym several times a week and hiring a personal trainer. Also been eating right.

I also became engaged. We haven't set a date yet. And next month we are taking a vacation, just the two of us. We need it. In Jan, we took a family in, long time friend's of Robert's and they have become total squatters. But whatever, we are planning on moving out anyways soon to a bigger, better place, so f*** em.

My fiance also sparked a new interest in me...guns and hunting. He bought me a Springfield 40 XD Subcompact handgun. My aim is getting better. But after shooting a rifle the other day, I found my new baby. Hoping he buys me a 30-06 rifle. My aim in the rifle is MUCH better. And I'm interested in boar and deer hunting now. In a few months we are planning on going to an outfitters for a guided hunt to be taught the ins and outs.

So yeah, good and bad events in the past year. Hopefully things have settled enough so I can post more here.

I'm really glad you're doing well with your new daughter and fiance! And I empathize with what's happened with some of your pets--I've had some things like that going on with the past few months, unfortunately. Anyway, I'm glad you've come back to give it another try! :)

Well guys. I'm going to be leaving this forum for good long time. Nothing wrong with it but I'm so busy and more focus on my work and drawing that I barely have time now to have fun on the forum.

So take care!

Also Luke, I'd like to ask if you can delete my Art thread. Since I'm going to be gone I'd rather not have my stuff up on the forum where people could take my stuff etc.

I'd like to ask Luke to delete my art thread too. I didn't know that we could request that, but I'm leaving too and would appreciate it greatly.
