DMC: We need Annette (and Tommy too)...!

... in Walt Disney's "Escapade in Florence" and "The Horsemasters" on DVD. Will the rights holders finally deliver in 2012?

I feel ok passing on that the powers that be are at least talking about one of these titles. And, (knock on wood) that OVD's actions have lead to the other being talking about as well.

No idea if they would be DMC or MOD titles or if they'd come out this year or even at all. But I do know they are being talked about, which is where things start.

That's is all I'll say for now, except that I hope the readers here keep writing Disney. We have an e-mail event coming soon and I hope you all join us! Ask for these two titles. It means a lot more if I'm not the only one writing these letters and e-mails. :)

Well, with signature Disney Legends stars, Sherman Bros songs and big budget location filming in Europe, I think these two titles deserve the best treatment (along with Sammy the Way-Out Seal and Prince and the Pauper, two other great TV/feature titles of the era), so I hope to see the films released with fresh masters via DMC rather than tossed off to Generations (as the quality there has been dubious).

A couple of great clips if anyone needs their memory jogged:

Any news about fresh DMC exclusives for spring? It's been quiet for awhile.

Not yet, but (and I don't really know this mind you) I feel it in my bones that something might be coming in March or April. I do not believe we'll ever (for now) get a new wave of DMC title in the same month we will get new MOD titles. The last few months have been about growing the MOD collection, and last heard it may be a while till there are more, so I'm guessing another DMC wave will come next.

I really hope they release The Prince and the Pauper soon as a DMC Exclusive! It's one of my last Walt-era live action "holy grails" that have yet to see a DVD release.
