"Army Wives" season 7 begins tonight at 9 pm Eastern on Lifetime. One of the best shows on television on Sunday nights, second only to "Once Upon A time".
Produced by Mark Gordon Productions (Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds) this show involves four military wives and one husband and how they live their lives when their husbands or wife is involved in military actions.
Catherine Bell is the main star this season, as Kim Delaney decided to leave the show for medical reasons.
The show will be 13 episodes long, and has been renewed for an Eighth season already.
One of our favorite shows to watch.

Re: "Army Wives" Season 7 discussion...........
Can't believe that no one here, besides me, is watching this great show. Tonight is part two of the opening episode from last week in which they killed off Kim Delaney's character, and tonight's episode will be the funeral and introduction of a couple of new characters to the show.
This show is in its seventh season, and has been re-upped for at least one more, which would tie it with "Desperate Housewives" and since it is out of the Buena Vista production company and with Mark Gordon producing, it has been a quality show from the start.
It is on Lifetime Channel at 9 pm Eastern and Pacific, and 8 pm Central. So it doesn't interfere with OUAT, and since "Revenge" looks to be canceled, this is the perfect show to watch after "Once Upon A Time".

Re: "Army Wives" Season 7 discussion...........
Jessie McCartney made his impressive debut on "Army Wives" last night. He plays a soldier in Afghanistan who is married to Holly, one of the 'new' wives. Looks like he will be a good story arc for the show along with Catherine Bell's character.
Ashanti was introduced as another of the new wives this season. Looks like this show will continue with its great writing, and photography. All of the people involved at Fort Marshall are good actors and are written very well into the show.
It was announced this past week that "Army Wives" will be back for an eighth season next year.
Who else watches this great show??

Re: "Army Wives" Season 7 discussion...........
Don't know how many of you are watching this show, but I'm sure there are a lot of 'closet' viewers who just don't want the rest of us to know that you are watching. "Army Wives" is a Buena Vista distribution show from the desk of producer Mark Gordon, who is responsible for another show that I am sure everyone is watching, Criminal Minds.
I have not missed an episode since the the show began on Lifetime. It is one of their highest rated shows, and is a great lead-in to The Client List, which is another very well written and produced show.
All previous six seasons of "Army Wives" are available on DVD, and it is an easy way to catch up on all that has gone.
This season started with a two-part episode as the cast said goodbye to one of it's original members, Kim Delaney. It was a great way to open the season and gave them a good way to introduce the 'new' wives at Fort Marshall. Catherine Bell is still with the show, and is the lead actress who is married to a serviceman, who is currently serving overseas in Afghanistan.
The show intertwines five different stories each week, in daytime drama form, and is very well written. I think it is one of the best written shows on television at this current time.

Re: "Army Wives" Season 7 discussion...........
Lifetime has just announced that "Army Wives" will be back for a season eight. With only four episodes shown so far this season, that speaks loudly for this high rated drama series.
Produced my Mark Gordon, and distributed by Buena Vista, this show follows the lives of the wives of Army members. Mainstays of the cast include Catherine Bell, Alyssa Diaz, and Wendy Davis, new additions this year are Kelly Williams, Torrey Devitto, Ashanti, and Elle McLemore with Brooke Shields coming on board in the next week.
This show is very well written, and one of the better nighttime dramas on television today. I haven't missed an episode and the 8 pm Central Time slot is perfect for the show.
We always watch "Once Upon A Time" at 7 and "Army Wives", and our night of television watching is complete.

Re: "Army Wives" Season 7 discussion...........
Anybody catch "Good Morning America" today (Wednesday, April 17) and catch the appearance of Jessie McCartney and Elle McLemore, who play Tim and Holly on "Army Wives"??
They were so nice and answered audience questions very freely, and admitted they are looking forward to being around "Army Wives" this season. Of course, they can't talk about anything that is happening in later episodes, but they really make a cute couple.
Those of you who don't watch "Army Wives" are missing one of the best written and produced shows on television today.
Sunday nights for me start off with "Once Upon A Time", then it's "Army Wives" and then it is Simon Baker as "The Mentalist". That is my Sunday night watch list. I DVR some other shows on Sunday evening, but those are my primary shows.
"Army Wives" Season 7 is on at 9 pm Eastern on Lifetime. Give it a chance and I am sure you will fall in love with it like we all have.

Re: "Army Wives" Season 7 discussion...........
Surely I am not the only one here who is watching "Army Wives". This week the story arc began with Special guest star Brooke Shields in the role of a pilot who has eyes on General Holden. And the role that Jesse McCartney has is being expanded to the full season of shows.
The 'new' wives are really good characters and just a believable as their predecessors.
Also it was announced by Lifetime, along with Mark Gordon productions, that "Army Wives" has been renewed for another season. That's the best news of all.

Re: "Army Wives" Season 7 discussion...........
There are just four more episodes left for this Season 7 of "Army Wives". This Sunday night is the 10th episode of the 13 that make up this season. Lots has happened, and I am sure that the cliffhanger for this year will have us all talking and anxiously awaiting Season Eight.
The "new" wives are just starting to find their niche in the show. Catherine Bell still is the solid foundation on which this show is built around, and it looks like Brooke Shields part is going to be extended into next season.
Some very good story lines, and the writing has been, as always, top notch. This is a really great show and those who don't watch it are missing a very good opportunity to see what all the talk is about.

Re: "Army Wives" Season 7 discussion...........
Cannot believe that there is "no love" for this show among all of us here. Season Seven's Finale Sunday night was very tear-jerking and dealt with a lot of the things that military wives have to go through when their spouses are away.
Tim (Jesse McCartney) and Holly (Elle McLemore) are the young married couple who are dealing with PTSD, and the show doesn't pull any punches with how this is a treatable disorder. Holly is such a good person, and Tim has been treating her like crap since he returned from Afghanistan where some of his buddies came home in body bags. Holly is awakened from her sleep one night with Tim trying to choke her to death. This begins the long road for recovery for Tim, but the show is handling it all correctly.
Season Eight will not make its appearance until next year, but at least they are just dropping this show with all the loose ends still showing. Next season should resolve the romance between Brooke Shields character and General Holden. Gloria will have to make her choice between Edgar, whom she recently divorced, and Pat, the new officer in her life.
Some people complain that they don't like the characters changing, but those are the people who don't understand military life. You don't spend your whole career in one place. Every one gets a PCS (Permanent Change of Station) every couple of years while they are in the service. So making friends is a very hard thing to do, and when those friendships are broken by the PCS, it is sometimes more than one person can take. The only characters that have been the mainstay for this show are Frank and Denise (Catherine Bell).
