An idea for a music talent show.

I know. Just what we need, another music talent show, but the current ones out now are very redundant as far as what they are offering the music industry. Why not have a show with competing rock bands or have a show where bands are put together after auditioning vocalists, instrumentalists, etc. That way it doesn't seem like the shows are rehashing the same old Top 40 pop music and we get more than solo pop artists as a result of them. A reason why those on the shows aren't as successful anymore is because they are offering too much of the same type of music (with exceptions of course) and it gets boring. What do you think?


Also, maybe a songwriting competition might be interesting as well.
