They're doing the Neverending Story? The scariest film ever made?! I wish I could see that, Labyrinth, My Fair Lady and Wizard of Oz, but I don't think I can go to...where are Fathom Events?

They usually play at an AMC or Regal Cinema in an area.

rotfl I don't think it's THAT scary...okay, maybe it's just a me thing hehe :P

It's understandable if some people do think that way, given how the more "fantastical" characters look like. But I do like how they look; they really embody the 80s fantasy vibes, which this whole movie is. Also, the song is such a bop...

Neverending story!!!!! Ahh ahh ahh~

I never saw the film, but the theme song by Limahl used to pack the dance floor at the gay clubs I went to back in ‘84.

It’s a fun dance tune! I have it on CD on a gay dance classics of 1984 compilation. I love to blast it in the car while driving...

The designs of Morla the giant turtle and Gmork the big werewolf are scary AF and even the music and jump scare for Gmork let you know he is supposed to be scary.

If my AMC has the movies I wanna see, I will try to make them! I will try to see The Neverending Story with a friend, especially my cousin, who I grew up watching the movie with...also, I don't wanna see the scariest movie ever alone! Hehe, but you guys are right, the theme song is a bop!

We already purchased our tickets for The Wizard of Oz for the 1 pm matinee on Sunday January 28. We’re planning to see My Fair Lady the next week, February 4.
My boyfriend has never seen it!
And he only saw The Wizard of Oz for the first time on DVD maybe 5 years ago.
(He wasn’t raised with typical American cultural milestones we take for granted.)
Even though he was raised here, his parents didn’t speak much English, and didn’t expose him to a lot of American culture while he was growing up.

tbf, if that’s how the music for Gmork really is, then yeah, that would be very scary, especially since cinemas nowadays have surround sound. Hehehe  very different when you’re just watching it on an iPad or a mobile phone so it’s understandable to have a friend our two to join you when watching the movie in theaters. :D 👍

I went to the Oz one! It wasn't that much different seeing the film on the big screen than seeing it at home, just becuase I enjoy the film so much, but maybe it did seem a little more epic and beautiful and impressive. It sure reminded me it's a great movie, anyway!

So glad you saw Oz, Duster. The Technicolor just POPS on the big screen. I love everything about it but it’s funny, the Kansas scenes and the Munchkinland sequence are my favorites. I admire Judy’s and Margaret Hamilton’s performances more and more each time I see it. And the fact that the whole cyclone sequence was done without computers just amazes me.

The next weekend we saw My Fair Lady which was fantastic as usual. I admire Rex Harrison each time I see it. He deserved the Tony and Oscar for the role. As much as I love Audrey, I would have loved to see Julie in the part on screen.
I learned the actor who played Freddy (Jeremy Brett) was gay and his singing voice was dubbed by Prince Philip himself, Bill Shirley.

We’re skipping Labyrinth in March ... no interest.

Next up for my boyfriend and me is Gone With The Wind on April 7, my all time favorite film. This will be his second time seeing it; his first on the big screen!

I love Judy's and Margaret's performances, and I agree on the Oz cyclone being amazing without computers!

Glad you went to and enjoyed My Fair Lady! And wow, Prince Phillip!

Gone With the Wind is your favorite film? Wow, well, it is magnificent!
