Heeeeeer'es numba1lostboy!

n1lb: <i>Comedy. Some would say it’s meant to be hidden, as if it’s only funny to
those ingenious enough to find it. Others might say it’s supposed to be
plainly seen, for the benefit of all. Still others might just say comedy
is a sad attempt to disguise our painful existence, but those people just
don’t have a sense of humor. The nominees for Best Comedy this year run the
gamut. Whether it is a car horn with a mind of its own, drunken pirates,
the impossibility of chasing down Harry’s final adventure, a
gum-chewing Easter Island head, or a Lamborghini-loving salescar, they are
all fine choices.</i>

The nominees for Best 2006 Comedy Feature Film are:

Night at the Museum
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
The Devil Wears Prada
Cars
Little Miss Sunshine

<i>Alas, only one can walk away with the honors, and the
winner is:</i>

<center>It's a tie!

<b>Night at the Museum</b>

&

<b>Little Miss Sunshine</b></center>

Congrats to both! When we come back, we'll have the award for Best Drama Feature!

Here to present the first of his two categories tonight, please welcome Disneykid!

DK: <i>Literature has created some of the most beloved places and characters known
the world over. What sets them apart from any other story-telling medium is
the way in which the world is presented varies from person to person no
matter how detailed and vivid the author's descriptions may be. Because of
this, books can connect with people on deeply personal levels that make them
feel like that world is theirs and theirs alone. Attempting to visualize a
story that already has been visualized a million different ways in people's
minds can be a daunting task. Loyal fans of the book in question may feel
threatened that the characters they felt belonged to them were being exposed
for all the world to see. When a book-to-film adaption succeeds, though, it
not only goes hand in hand with what the mind had already conjured up, but
it can enrich and stimulate those original concepts, as well. The nominees
for Best Book-to-Film Adaption are...</i>

The Da Vinci Code
Casino Royal
Eragon
The Devil Wears Prada

<i>...and the winner is...</i>

Congratulations to The Devil Wears Prada!

Much as the Made-For-TV Movie fused television and cinema, the Music Video fuses television and music. Though they come farther and fewer between these days, several stand out each year. For 2006, the nominees for Best Music Video are...

"Confessions of a Broken Heart (Lindsey Lohan)
"Get Together" (Madonna)
"The Hardest Part" (Coldplay)
"Hips Don't Lie" (Shakira)
"I Write Sins Not Tragedies" (Panic! at the Disco)
"Move Along" (The All-American Rejects)
"My Love" (Justin Timberlake)
"Tell Me Baby" (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
"We're All In This Together" (Cast of High School Musical)
"When You Were Young" (The Killers)
"White & Nerdy" ("Weird Al" Yankovic)
"You Know I Will" (Lucas Grabeel)

...And the winner is...

Back with his last award presentation of the evening, it's Timon/Pumbaa fan!

T/Pf: <i>In a world where so many adaptations, remakes, sequels and rehashes,
it's hard to be original. Truth be told, every story has been done to
some extent as it's often said that from the Bible to most recently
released movie right as I speak, there's only 20 plots ever written.
However, there are many elements that have never been made. Which
include: jokes, characters, plot-lines and overall feeling to it. This
year we've have four movies that are original. One is Pixar's latest
film, which while shares similar story-lines to what Pixar has done in
the past and has been criticised for having a "Doc Hollywood"
story-line, it's still a very fresh, exciting, funny and fun film about
talking cars that cover everything from NASCAR to nostalgia of "Route
66". Then we have a low-budget comedy about a dysfunctional family
going on an unforgettable road-trip. While it may have a sitcom-vibe to
it, it's still a damn hilarious adventure with so many hilarious jokes
that'll be sure to remember years from now. Then, a second installment
of a hugely popular pirate franchise. While is a sequel and based off a
theme park ride it has so many original jokes, characters, story-lines,
it's an absolute joy. It even is the first official film to bring
classic legends as "Davy Jones", "The Flying Dutchman" and "The Kraken"
to the big screen. And finally, we have a comedy about a character who
is being written about by a popular author and is about to be killed.
Truly original story there, as I can't think of any other similar story
at the top of my head. In conclusion, these four films have fantastic
screenplays, that take us to original worlds with original stories and
elements never seen on the screen before. But which one is the best and
most original? The nominees for "Best Original Screenplay" are:</i>

Cars
Little Miss Sunshine
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Stranger than Fiction

<i>And the Golden Mickey goes to...</i>

<center><b>Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest</b></center>

Yet another  for Pirates of the Cariibean!

Ladies and Gentleman, I give you once again - Disneykid!

<i>If films are like buildings, then screenplays can be considered the
foundations on which they're created. While other aspects of a production
work together to form a cohesive whole, a large part of that whole's meaning
and purpose stems from the screenplay. It is the screenwriter's task to
balance plot, character, and pacing in a manner that's both believable and
smooth. Unfortunately, when the task is to adapt an already existing source,
the script will either go unsung for how it managed to blend originality
with familiarity, or it will be vocally ripped to shreds if it should fail
at its goal. Thankfully, the films nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay
have not faced either of these scenarios. The nominees are...</i>

Nanny McPhee
The Departed
Dreamgirls
Casino Royale
The Da Vinci Code
Night at the Museum
The Devil Wears Prada

...and the winner is...

<center><b>Casino Royale</b></center>

Congratulations to Mr. Bond!

As promised, here's numba1lostboy!

n1lb: Over the decades, authors have been driven to write more and more about
the fantastic realm of magic and imagination. None, however, could top the
genre other than these three exceptional series. The Chronicles of
Narnia
, Harry Potter, and Oz are all immensely popular
in today’s culture. The books continue to fare well in sales, and the
films based on them have brought nothing but more hype and success. An
award with ‘All Time’ in the title implies incredible prestige and honor.

The nominees for Best Fantasy Book Series of All-Time are:

The Chronicles of Narnia (C.S. Lewis)
Harry Potter (JK Rowling)
Oz (L. Frank Baum)

<i>So, my Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve, whether you’re without a heart,
a brain, or courage, I invite you to swish-and-flick and find out that the
winner is:</i>

Madonna has left the building! She's not so upset that she hasn't won in the catagories that she was nominated in, as much as she is about this upsetting loss for Grey's Anatomy!

:o Wait a minute! Whoa, whoa, whoa! The Spice Girls beat out The Beatles?! :?

Come on people, this isn't even a matter of opinion, this is a fact: The Beatles are the greatest band to ever create music! How in the world did Paul, John, Ringo, and George lose to people with names like Ginger
and Baby?!

In the words of Charlie Brown..."Good grief."
