I love the second movie!
There's also a fourth one ( http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... impeorvemz ).
I never saw the third and the fourth movie, but I guess those films aren't as good as Home Alone 1+2, because Macaulay Culkin doesn't star in them.
I watch 1+2 every christmas though =)

One and Two were the best by far, but one is probably the best.

I like the first; though all were funny except the fourth was...well, it's obvious why they ended on the fourth (like the Karate Kid. )
My reason for liking the first more than the second was because it was the first of the Home Alone movies I watched! I realize now that "Kevin" wasn't a really good actor...but it's still a fun movie to watch (only because he's young and he has an excuse for not acting ). I especially liked the ending in Home Alone 1; brings a tear to my eye. :')

Home Alone 2 all the way! It was surprisingly an improvement over the original. More heart, more humor and it's more rewatchable than the original. Home Alone is still a very good movie though and it's nice to watch it near the Christmas season.
But Home Alone 3 stunk! It was basically a "Okay the other 2 were popular, so lets take out all the heart, add 100 more slapstick jokes and replace the main character with another actor since the original actor is too old". Sadly the kid actor in the 3rd one didn't have any charm the original actor had plus I liked the character "Kevin" much more than this new character!
I heard there was a Home Alone 4, but I didn't even bother with that one!

I can't believe there's any question and that 2 is actually ahead in the poll. Home Alone is one of the best Christmas movies ever made. Home Alone 2 basically follows the same mold, but the amplified violence in the climax, the inferior Old Man Marley character, and the no longer original setup have it lacking in every way and making one wish the end sequences were heavily trimmed or toned down.
"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president
