Thank you for your welcoming words. And thank you for doing the review. SS1 has really driven me nuts over the last few years with its method of listing the shorts. Luckily they have not done that since. And I apologize for posting the same thing twice, but I will definetly get this thing figured out sooner than later :).

Awesome Chicken Little review, Luke! That pretty much sums up what I thought about it; comparing it to HotR, Valiant, and TENG were pretty good, effective ways to get your point across, IMO. Glad to see video/audio is perfect, and I laughed at the picture caption about the Cheetah Girls. I'll get this DVD; the movie charmed me, despite its flaws.

Great-leaping-salamanders-of-flame! NO SLIPCOVER!???? I can see it now....

"This just in, Disney DVD sales reach an all-time low!"

Yeeeeaaaahhhh, I haven't given feedback since early February. It may seem lazy, but by the time I actually get to read the review, everything I was going to say has already been posted by someone. I can't think of anything fresh to say. I have been reading most of them though, and I must say to Luke, Aaron, & Lindsay that they were all fantastic; I'm sure the ones that I haven't read yet are as well. So, great job on the Remember the Titans: DC, Howl's Moving Castle, Whisper of the Heart, Toy Story 2: Special Edition, Lady and the Tramp: PE, and Silly Symphonies reviews!

Thanks, Pasta! It's really good to hear people are reading the reviews. Even if you can't think of something different to say, simply saying something is reward enough. I mean statistics tell me that people load the reviews, and correction e-mails tell me that people are able to spot errors, but it's typically only remarks here that indicate people read/comprehend/care the extensive efforts that go into our critiques.

Nice job on the Chicken Little review, Luke. I fall into the category of people who really loved the movie, so I will still get it on Tuesday.

It is kind of sad to think that Home on the Range got better treatment on DVD than Chicken Little, but I suspect the upcoming high-definition formats could have something to do with that as well.

I think this is also part of the fallout from shrinking the theater-to-DVD release window. Studios don't have time to produce decent features, so they put out what they can now and give people a special edition about a year later. Of course, it could just be laziness, but I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt.

We're debuting a new DVD format today... the DVD capsule, which condenses our typically in-depth reviews for non-Disney DVDs that will be of interest to some UD readers but aren't exactly major releases. In the first, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo: Little Black Book Edition, Through the Fire (Director's Cut - Extended and Uncensored), and Daltry Calhoun are profiled. You can read it here: http://www.ultimatedisney.com/dvdroundup-march2006.html

Let us know how you like the new format!

I may be biased but I think the format suits the subjects well. Slightly more than a "Closing Thoughts" section of a standard-sized review and still more thorough than the critiques of many outlets. Great job on the reviews, Aaron!

Thanks, man, but I can't take all the credit. Some joker named Luke wrote the Through the Fire one, ok?

Considering these aren't three of the greatest movies nor are they the three greatest DVDs, I'm fine with this new format! As long as we go back to the old format for big films like "Narnia" or "Little Mermaid".

Good reviews Aaron and Luke! Too bad I have no interest in seeing those movies. :P

Thanks for the feedback, you two. Are people going to be able to handle two roundups in one week? I hope so!

Here are ten new reviews of the CD variety:

Nice stuff, but wasn't there a 'Sounds of Disneyland' review coming? Or did it come and go and I missed it?

How could that be! I know and see all!

A review of A Musical History of Disneyland is coming, hopefully by the end of this month, if I can actually find the short break I'm hoping for in between the April 11th releases and Little Einsteins. That and Spin & Marty are looooong overdue, I know.

Quite frankly, I'm thinking of boycotting the whole site if these reviews aren't posted soon.

Cheers, mate. Look forward to them.

Great job on the Chronicles of Narnia review. Wow! I was really impressed - it was very informative and fun to read.

Thanks!

^Agreed! The Walt-Lewis parallel was a great way to start the review and it was something I'd never thought of before. I love that you not only served up a great review of the movie itself, but also spent time on the discussions that most people have when it comes to Narnia. I'm also a big fan of the "Disc 0" section. It's a shame there couldn't have been more author-related and faith-related material on this release, let alone standards like deleted scenes and trailers, but I'm still excited for what is on it, which sounds pretty great. Ultimately, I side with LOTR in that debate, but I still loved the first Narnia movie and your review very much does it justice.

I'll probably get the 2 Disc Addition of Narnia Tommorrow too me even though I have never even read the books by C.S. Lewis the film deserves it, but i loved your review Luke.

Also on another note i just hope and of course take your time Luke that the SPD reviews can be done sometime before Mystic Force, especially since MF according to the Disney DVD site will contain at least The Other Teamup with SPD.

I'm sure he'll get to it once next week's DVDs are all reviewed. After that week there's only one DVD coming out the weeks of April 25th & May 2nd so there's going to really not be anything new to review. We'll be seeing alot of catch up done. So at least then I can finally read Aaron's Sin City review sometime later this month.

Just think of all the dancing elephants and more  you'll receive when Loomis peels his eyes on a fancy schmancy Musical History of Disneyland review.

Actually, the main thing I want to know - and maybe somebody else can answer this - is whether it is worth an upgrade from my 2-CD Happiest Celebration CD. Cheers...
