Awsome!! This sounds incredible! i cant wait!
being the huge Marx bros fan that i am, im definatly going to pick this up (41.94$ :jawdrop: )... of course im dissapointed that Duck Soup/Animal Crackers/Horse Feathers/Monkey Buisness aren't in this collection, being the best Marx movies (in addition to A Night at the Opera & A Day at the Races) but hey! im looking on the bright side! this builds up my aniticipation for the even better kickass Marx collection!
so im about as happy as a piglet in honey! :D

excellent.... :excellent:

btw... does anyone know anything at all about this Marx Brothers Movie planned? im dying for info! what i do know is that it's being written/directed by Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski, is planned for 2005, and is supposedly being produced by Jersey Films (Danny DeVito's Company)... but that's it and im still dying for info!!!

I am also a HUGE fan, and I saw the cover art last week when I first discovered the set on Barnes and Noble's website. Are you sure there's plans for a re-release of the Universal-owned Paramount films??? Nothing would be greater, but there have been many rumors regarding the long OOP Marx Brothers DVDs and their possible rerelease. I don't wanna get my hopes up or end up paying about $70 a piece for the originals of eBay if better versions are just around the corner. When are they supposed to come out?

I read that they are working on restoring Duck Soup now, and the other titles are to follow shortly. If you have a multi-region player, a 4 disc Universal Marx Bros set is avaialble in the UK (sadly un-restored and barebones though)

I'm really glad to hear of future releases of the Marx Brothers' first five Paramount Pictures from Universal Home Video, and especially glad that their MGM films (actually, Room Sevice is from RKO) are coming in a nice boxed set very soon. Even more happy am I that Warner Brothers is continuing with their casing transformation that they began with The Matrix Reloaded. If you look on Amazon's listings of A Night at the Opera, A Day at the Races, and A Night in Casablanca, you can clearly tell that the movies will be available in the plastic keep cases instead of the standard Warner Brothers cardboard case.

After reading Harpo Speaks, I became a rapid Marx Brothers fan. Needless to say, this DVD set is on my list. :D
