I wonder if this means the decade-by-decade collections are coming to BD, too, sooner rather than later. Those are what I really want, and if they could throw in the missing featurettes from the individual releases, that'd be even sweeter.

It seems as though the standalone release of "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" on Blu-ray has been moved up to September 7, 2010 according to most retail sites including Amazon.

Awesome, so they renewed the contract.

I think I still have ABC's first broadcast of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" on VHS somewhere. Was also the first and only time they broadcast the Whoopi-Goldberg-hosted "The Making of..." with it too.

"It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" are now on Blu-ray! My copies should come in any day now.

In other Peanuts news, I am playing Schroeder in my high school's production of the revised edition of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown". :D

A Charlie Brown Valentine has been announced!:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Charli ... tine/14437

For those anyone wondering, the 3rd special on the Paramount's release was There's No Time For Love, Charlie Brown which is already available on DVD as part of The Peanuts 1970's Collection Volume 1, but it would've made a welcome addition for the new release. This also perfect timing cause I was going to buy the Paramount release this year.

Beat me to it! Also (late in the game), Paramount will re-release the first 2 Peanuts movies (A Boy Named Charlie Brown and Snoopy Come Home) in double feature release:

Paramount can do that yet they won't release the last 2 films on DVD or any of the 4 for that matter.

Should tell you this, the Blu-Ray release of Happiness Is A Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown is only for Canada. Rumour is (according to the TVShowsonDVD link) that a US Blu will be released months after the DVD.

Any word on if/when there will be sets for the 80's specials?
