I've never seen what's wrong with a little interpretation. I'm glad they're doing something that's remotely outside the lines.

yall, this news was first announced in spring 2002, so im quite suprised that so many of you didnt know about. Im actually glad this project is finally getting off the ground, I for one can't wait to see this.
I thought it would be really cool to have a live action Snow White. It would make a cool musical! Until I found out it was Kung Fu I doubt that this will come into Europe or the Americas. It would probably stay in asia. The story line is not relevant to the Disney story we're familiar with. IMDB says its called "Snow White and the Seven" and it says nothing about Disney. I'm not worrying too much. Honestly, does it sound like Disney to make a Kung Fu of this movie??

they will teach them the secret arts of working al day on some dark mines and get out singing like it was a walk on a park and without meeting mary jane!
After years of training, Snowhite is ready and their new masters show them her grand master name:"cold non-colored thing"
The evil Queen-Gong-Jing send his ninja minions to defeat cold non-colored thing but she destroy them with her secret techinque "Hooters open their eyes" and then grab a gun and shoot them while they´re dull.
Evil Queen-Gong-Jing fight by herself to cold non-colored thing after she kills all the seven masters with her "apple pie" technique(she didn´t poisoned it, she is a crappy coock) we have a Dragon ball-like fight with energy bolts and all. And cold non-colored thing defeat the Evil Queen-Gong-Jing with her recently learned technique: "The fist of the eight-legged octopus" or "look there while I crack your hjead with my guitar"

At first I thought it was silly to make it it kung-fu, but I think it's alright if they make it in a Chinese environment.
Pretend this movie isn't titled Snow White and the characters have different names... I think the idea of seven monks in a temple taking in a girl in danger could definetely happen. Seven monks living together in a temple isn't absurd and the fact that they'd take such a girl in isn't either. Now that I think of it, it sounds a bit like Hilary Swank's "The Next Karate Kid".
To me, the story occuring in China centuries ago sounds like another Ziyi Zhang movie.
As long as they make the movie realistic it would be fine; if they make it all hi-tech with cool gadgets etc I think I won't like it much.
I think this movie looks hilarious! Wow. I can't believe someone thought, "we should make a kung fu snow white" and then other people didnt have them commited. lol.
Just read this, I am not sure how reliable it is or if it is even real but I just thought I would post it and see if anyone has anything to say about it!!!

China View - BEIJING, July 18 -- Kungfu superstar Jet Li is going to collaborate with "Star Wars" lead Natalie Portman in a new Disney picture, the China news quoted a report in Hong Kong's Wen Wei Po newspaper as saying.
The report said the film is an adaptation of Disney's classic "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". It is set thousands of years after the original Snow White story, when the princess has reincarnated into a young woman, played by Natalie Portman.
Her evil stepmother wants to collect the seven pieces of her magic mirror to resume her power.
The Shaolin temple in central China, which has been protecting the mirror for thousands of years, sends seven warriors, led by Jet Li, to protect the mirror and the young woman.
Sources say the movie has a budget of 70 million US dollars and might be made by martial arts choreographer and film director Yuen Woo-ping.
