Re: Wreck-It Ralph - Part II
While the board is on the first page, what's going on with the sequel? Are they still making it?
Re: Wreck-It Ralph - Part II
They never said they were making it. Looks like not until 2018 at least.disneyprincess11 wrote:While the board is on the first page, what's going on with the sequel? Are they still making it?

Re: Wreck-It Ralph - Part II
Go to the 30 minutes 8 second part regarding the sequel that seems to become real at some point according to John Campea of AMC Movie Talk. He says that Mario will play a significant role in the film.
EDIT I found a full clip so you don't have to go to a certain minute part of the video. Here's the new video below

Re: Wreck-It Ralph - Part II
So glad that Wreck It Ralph 2 is still happening/on the works. Hopefully, if they keep this up, I'm guessing it'll come out 2017 at the earliest and 2019 at the latest.

Actually, according to Disney's current schedule, the earliest would be November 21, 2018.disneyprincess11 wrote:Hopefully, if they keep this up, I'm guessing it'll come out 2017 at the earliest and 2019 at the latest.

But, isn't that the space movie? Plus, they're still in early development, they still haven't found a releash date. Hopefully, it's 2018 though. Saw this 5 times in theaters and now one of my fave Disney animated movies, it was great fun and being the gamer i am it brought a smile on my face.
Mario in the sequel would be kickass as would Sonic, Knuckles, Felicia, Lilith (Darkstalkers), Donkey Kong etc.

Re: Wreck-It Ralph - Part II
Well, WIR composter Henry Jackman just confirmed that the sequel is happening and it's very early on in the stages.
Have you heard anything about a Wreck-It Ralph sequel?
JACKMAN: I did, to be honest with you. I can’t tell you more, not because I’m being coy, but I believe that it is officially on the cards. I don’t know any more other than a story is indeed being written. I’d be very surprised not to. I’m not blowing my own trumpet. Forget about the music. Just the movie itself I thought was a fantastically imaginative and creative piece of work. Rich [Moore], the director, actually got involved in the writing. There was another writer and I can’t remember his name (Editor’s note: it’s Phil Johnston). Just as a concept, it would be almost remiss of them not to write another one. It’s a great idea and it’s a great character.

I'm glad, actually, would love to see more of that world. I could see them turning Big Hero 6 into a franchise, too, if it's successful, although it would have to have subtitles... Big Hero 6 2.
Listening to most often lately:
Ariana Grande ~ "we can't be friends (wait for your love)"
Ariana Grande ~ "imperfect for you"
Kacey Musgraves ~ "The Architect"
Re: Wreck-It Ralph - Part II
Speaking of that, there was this old Twitter conversation between Sotiris and Brendon Connelly that suggested that a sequel was in the works:
Sotiris @sotiris2006 Feb 6
@brendonconnelly Is Wreck-It Ralph 2 in the works? I know the director wanted a sequel but is it actually in development?
Brendon Connelly @brendonconnelly Feb 6
@sotiris2006 Certainly was in December.
Re: Wreck-It Ralph - Part II
I'd be thrilled to see a sequel to this, the first really took me by surprise by how wonderful and charming it was.
Same feelings as seeing Lilo and Stitch for the first time; wasn't expecting to enjoy it half as much as I did.

So happy to see this! Wreck-it Ralph literally saved my life.
Man has a dream
And that's the start
He follows his dream
With mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true
For you and me!

It's interesting that every time something major happens to Giants or Moana, we get news almost immediately. But, with this, we're getting no news at all. No wonder that people are thinking it got shelved!

Re: Wreck-It Ralph - Part II
Sure.
NOTE: This story is extremely depressing.
In 2011, I was diagnosed as clinically depressed. I was put on medication for it, but when I worked for Disney in 2012, I was told to go off of it (I didn't want people seeing me take the pills, so I had to go to my locker and get the pills, which was about a ten minute walk from where I worked, so I would be gone for 25 min at a time every day) by my managers because it was interfering.
When I saw Wreck-it Ralph, I got the message that it was okay to be me. It was okay to be dysfunctional. Ralph, Vanellope, Felix, and Calhoun reminded me that it was okay.
Didn't matter what it was, I would be okay.
There were people, even fictional, who were like me.
The atoning tough girl, Calhoun, I saw in myself.
The misunderstood 'bad guy', Ralph, I saw in myself.
The do-gooder, Felix, I saw in myself.
The glitch, Vanellope, I saw in myself.
So I had to live to see the sequel.
