Toy Story Christmas Special: Toy Story That Time Forgot

Post by Mickeyfan1990 »

Coming this 2014 Holiday Season, a Toy Story Christmas special!:

http://www.hypable.com/2014/01/17/toy-s ... cial-2014/

"ABC has announced their second Toy Story television special titled, Toy Story That Time Forgot, for the holiday 2014 season.

This new Toy Story special arrives on the heel’s of last year’s titled, Toy Story of Terror, a half-hour event timed for Halloween.

The synopsis for Toy Story That Time Forgot reads, “During a post-Christmas play date, the ‘Toy Story’ gang find themselves in uncharted territory when the coolest set of action figures ever turn out to be dangerously delusional. It’s all up to Trixie, the triceratops, if the gang hopes to return to Bonnie’s room in this ‘Toy Story That Time Forgot.’”

Voice actors include Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Kevin McKidd (Grey’s Anatomy) as a new character named Reptillus Maximus, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants, Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head and Joan Cusack as Jessie.

The Christmas Special is produced by Terror producer Galyn Susman and directed by Brave screenwriter Steve Purcell.

Toy Story of Terror, according to ABC, “ranked No. 1 in its time period among Total Viewers (10.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (3.1/10), giving the Net its best performance in the half-hour in nearly 2 years – since 11/09/11.”"

Awesome. I was wondering if they were still doing the second special. This should make 2014 a little easier to bare without a real Pixar movie.

Because that's how every Toy Story film has been or deals with.

If it's Christmas related, shouldn't it be called, "The Greatest Toy Story Ever Told?"

...never mind.

I will be looking forward to it.

Much like Toy Story of Terror I'm going to assume it wont be that Christmas specific at all. Already we know it takes place after Christmas, so there might be some decorations still up, but that will probably be the extent of it.

Toy Story of Terror was great and I can't wait to see what they do with this one.

Pretty funny how Trixie will be the main focus when we were supposed to get a feature-length dino movie from Pixar this summer.

I thought this was really good and I hope Pixar continues doing specials like this, even if they're going through with Toy Story 4

It was fun seeing a minor character like Trixie in the lead role. She was great. And Angel Kitty was a hilarious addition to the cast!

I enjoyed it but Disney promoting the action figure playset during the break was more than crass. Somehow it bothered me more than other like advertising.

I agree. The special was great, but to have a commercial promoting toys from the special during the special is disgraceful. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
