Surprised Disney didn't update the Gigantic logo. Looks like it's gonna stick.

do you think they'll give Frozen 2 the fall/holiday period 2019 slot like the original had or will they move it up to winter 2019 like they did the WIR sequel for 2018?

I'm looking forward to GotG2, The Incredibles 2, A Wrinkle in Time, and Mary Poppins Returns.

I'll be seeing WIR2, Coco, PotC:DMTNT, Gigantic, Thor: Ragnarok, and Mulan, too (via Netflix), but I don't really have positive expectations for them so far.

So it means that Mulan will be the next live action remake on the release schedule? Interesting that it's getting a fall release and not an earlier date.

Never heard of Magic Camp. I feel like Artemis Fowl has been in development for years. Wish Aladdin was getting a release next year but I guess that's not feasible. I wonder if by that point the live-action film craze will have died down a little and if Disney will still be interested in making more remakes like Snow White and The Little Mermaid which haven't begun production yet. Also wish Enchanted 2 was on there somewhere.

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney is having casting difficulties with Mulan. Especially with recent "revelations" that film studios don't see a film with an Asian male lead being feasible so I imagine the same holds true for Asian females. Personally Mulan isn't really one of my favs so I'm not really upset by this especially since Mulan is such a national hero that it seems odd to see an American depiction of her (let alone another one). It would be like China making a film on George Washington or Johnny Appleseed.

Magic Camp is a comedy, based on a story concept by Steve Martin. It's pretty much finished as the MPAA has already rated it PG. It's unusual it's been taken off the schedule at the last minute, but on the positive side, that means Disney can focus all of their energy on marketing Blank Panther and A Wrinkle in Time.

Based on how they unceremoniously took it off the schedule, I have a feeling they will quietly release Magic Camp as a Touchstone title on Labour Day or something.

I thought Mulan had moved with Nutcracker taking its spot. I don't think they've even started casting Mulan yet.

I think it's interesting that Pixar still gets to do two movies every other year while WDAS' output remains one film a year. I'm curious to know the intention behind this decision, and what it aims to achieve. If WDAS will be moving ahead with other sequels in the near future (i.e. beyond WIR2 and Frozen 2) I would appreciate if they'd up the film count a la Pixar so as to "make up" with additional original movies.
