Does anyone here remember the hit 1990s Walt Disney Television sitcom Boy Meets World? I DO!!!
In light of its upcoming Disney Channel reboot, Girl Meets World (centering on the teenage daughter of Cory and Topanga of the original series), I will give you readers the inside scoop on this Classic Disney sitcom, celebrating 20 years on the air (13 in reruns).
Boy Meets World debuted on September 24, 1993 on the ABC Television Network (bought by Disney in 1995) and starred Ben Savage (younger brother of The Wonder Years Fred) as Cory Matthews, a typical American 11-year-old boy living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who, like most boys his age group, still lived with his parents: dad Alan (Rusty Russ), a blue-collar worker; mom Amy (Betsy Randle), a typical 90s sitcom Homemaker; his teenaged brother, Eric (Will Friedle); and kid sister Morgan (Lindsay Ridgeway).
Corys teacher (who also happened to be his neighbor) was Mr. George Feeny (William Daniels), who, at the start of the series 2nd season, became his Principal at John Adams High School.
Early episodes were videotaped in front of a Live Studio Audience at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, after which taping moved to CBS Studio Center in Los Angeles, California.
Among notable characters on the show included his best friend, Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong); Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel), who eventually became his girlfriend (later wife); and their homeroom teacher, Jon Turner (Anthony Tyler Quinn), who in Season 3 became Shawns guardian.
Among notable guest stars during the shows 7-year run included Disney Channel Mouseketeer Keri Russell (now on the FX Television Network series The Americans); Melissa Hart (as Sabrina, the Teenage Witch in a cameo crossover 1997 Halloween episode); and, in a later episode, Fred Savage.
In the hour-long series finale, telecast on May 5, 2000 on the ABC Television Network, Cory and Topanga left their Philadelphia home and relocated to New York City, New York.
Boy Meets World was produced by Michael Jacobs Productions in association with Walt Disney Television and is distributed by Buena Vista Television.

You're seriously asking if anyone remembers a major television series that was never really forgotten? Tsk tsk. Smh.
