Again, after seeing "Mickey Monkey", I sensed another opportunity where they should have include Pluto. He would be another boat passenger like Minnie, Donald and Goofy, but while the gang mistake the monkey for Mickey and vice-versa, only Pluto knows that the monkey is not Mickey and tries vainly to inform the others.

Counting Pluto's two actual appearances in the series, going by all of my ideas for where he could appear, here would be the complete list (in order):

• GASP!: Pluto tries to alert Mickey to the cat trying to capture the goldfish, of whom the dog is a good friend. He then tries to help Mickey save the goldfish and then both dog and fish would chase off the cat once and for all.
• GHOUL FRIEND: Pluto simply accompanies Mickey on the trip and when the Goofy zombie confronts them at the cliff, Pluto tries to protect Mickey. When the zombie gives Mickey his arm to repair the car, Pluto would try to make off with the arm bone, but Mickey tells him to return the arm.
• GOOFY'S GRANDMA: Pluto lives with Mickey, obviously, and is just as aggravated by Goofy's "grandmother" as Mickey is.
• THE BOILER ROOM: Pluto is among the crowd of apartment dwellers, alongside Minnie.

Counting Pluto's two actual appearances, in "Dog Show" and "Space Walkies", this would make a total of seven shorts (counting the aforementioned "Mickey Monkey"), which would now be somewhat comparable to Donald, who has appeared in ten shorts. Mind you, these are just my ideas for what should have happened. Hindsight is a great thing, isn't it?

It's nice to FINALLY see more of Pluto!

On the other hand, I hope that the next short does not have Minnie, but does have Goofy. Even another Mickey-only short would be nice.
