Oh man. Well I think they just meant they are going to do Mulan's bonus features. Oh man I HOPE that's just what they meant.

No matter what they mean, it's a sign that Mulan is on the horizon for Blu release. It'll probably get a release next year for the 15th anniversary...

The good news is that if it IS a diamond release, then we'll be spared the "2 Movie Collection" nonsense for Mulan.

Although, Pocahontas kind of broke my heart to the point of just being numb to the whole "2 movie collection" line now.

I don't really think Mulan will be a Diamond Edition. I do think it will be released sometime next year though.

And hopefully in a 2-Movie Collection

I know that I usually claim not to care about what line a certain film is in, but am I the only one who is actually really annoyed about this? C'mon, if any Disney animated films should be "Diamond Editions", it should be these. Let's hope they somehow manage to get back in the line like Aladdin did.

Local distributors probably don't even graphic designers or the resources to design new covers. All they have is the material Disney US gives to them. The "Disney designers" in the US aren't responsible to make cover art for every single overseas local release. In previous years this wouldn't be a problem as films would get world-wide releases. However now that each country has been given the greenlight to release certain movies before the rest of the world, all they have are old cover art to rely on.

Personally, I think they should revert back to world-wide releases, if not for quality control.

They are, actually. We get often enough cover arts, which are new and were made for some european markets or Japan only:

From the looks of the photo of the trilogy jewelry box, it looks like Cinderella II and III will be on the same Blu-ray disc. I guess that means once we get the individual release for the sequels they will be in a "2 Movie Collection" rather than seperate releases like The Lion King 1 1/2 and 2.
