Well, that's ridiculous. I'm glad they made a story decision based on Depp's filmography.

That's probably for the best. Like him or not, Jack Sparrow is the face of the series.

Between Calypso, Angelica and Shansa, I don't see how they could get away from a female villain in a possible sixth film.

It will be out on Home Media on Oct. 3 2017 (Digital Sept 19 :): http://pirates.disney.com/pirates-of-th ... l-no-tales . Please buy it and tell as many people as you can to do so as well as it'll help support for more Pirates of the Caribbean movies (aka a more complete and possibly BETTER conclusion than what we have already :)

I for one would love more Davey Jones! The loss of Barbosa, though understandable, is something hard to swallow. ..less captain Jack would work in my book...introduce someone new and start afresh..Just my two cents here

I finally saw the film Friday (just before the Geoffrey Rush allegations dropped, coincidentally. :/ ), and I enjoyed the film myself. I'd say it's the best PotC film since Dead Man's Chest. I don't think Jack was that much of a highlight here, but I enjoyed the new characters, Henry and Carina. I also liked the reunion of Will and Elisabeth at the end. The end credits teaser has me hoping there is one final film (with or without Barbossa), if it means Davy Jones is back. I actually wouldn't mind if Henry and Carina took on the main roles for any future sequel(s) in place of Bloom/Knightley's characters.
