Why couldnt have they included that in the 10th anniversary as well? It was so close to being a perfect release (to my taste)...
Well, except for the audio synch issue...
I know, right? I was really pissed off as well. The only way to really listen to it, is through an LaserDisc, but they are impossible to buy. Especially since I live in Norway.

It's bonus feature. Singular. Not features. Yes, Disney went all out on extras again. Lnds500 answered you. That's the one.
.
Are you kidding me?

Are you. Freakin'. Kidding me?! Thanks a lot, Disney. :(

There will be plenty of extras carried over from the 10th anniversary DVD, this is just the only new one.

What about the 'If I Never Knew You' deleted song, which I wish was still incorporated into the movie, but the creators are total jerks by cutting it again? :(

I still don't know whether or not I should get this or not. I love Pocahontas, but the sequel is dreadful, and the excision of If I Never Knew You leaves me really confused. Disney could have at least made it a four disc set (one BD/DVD for each film) to make it seem like they tried with this release instead of sticking a not-so-great sequel with the superior original. I guess I could just pre-order it with the coupon and then decide later if I want to cancel the order or not.

Can I ask what coupon you're referring to? :)

Sure: the coupon from Amazon (I think it's $8). I have no idea how long it's good for, though.

Too bad it's only available for the Blu-Ray Packaging and not the DVD packaging Combo Pack.

I should have just collected the blu-ray packages from the start...suits me...*sigh*

As dumb as most of the sequels (including this one) are, I see it as a nice consolation in a way... if for whatever reason I become a super-duper completist later on, I'm glad I would always have the option to watch this. That said, though, I wish the sequel were more of a special feature than receiving equal billing to Pocahontas. The "2-Movie Collection" banner should only apply to sequels that were also DACs (Fantasia, Rescuers series).

September 4, 2009 - Met Tom Hulce

^This!

I have absolutely no complaint with the sequels being included in a set with the originals, but to promote them as equals is just flat out wrong. The set could still tout itself as a two-film set, but just mark it as Pocahontas and have a tag on the bottom or something that says that it also includes the sequel. Are there really people out there more conserned with getting this releases as a 2-film set than getting the original?

^yes, people who buy these movies for their children and don't watch them for themselves - aka the biggest consumer demographic of Disney DVDs. Clearly labeled 2-Movie Collection = value for money.

I don't know why Disney doesn't simply cater for both parents and disney enthuiastics as they have in the past. Release a 2MC alongside a collectors edition. Argue that a collector could even be tempted to buy both editions. Suggest parents wouldn't get confused and annoyed, as the 2MC would be the obvious choice over the collectors edition.

Thats what they do here in Australia/overseas. We get Bambi/Bambi II combo sets alongside standalone releases. That way people have options!

These comments have been made before many times before, you two should just read the thread from the beginning to get an idea of everyones thoughts

I really hope that the audio commentary will be the one from the LaserDisc, although I doubt it.
