35 miles from me but I wouldn't cross the street. I'll watch my blu rays in hi def on my 60" LED & just watch the Avengers at the theater. Only 76 theaters doing it for Regal. I'm sure DVDJunkies Kansas theater will have all 5 for a nickel. :D
Why did they leave out The Incredible Hulk?

I was wondering the exact same thing. I mean you don't really need to see the film except for the ending.

Because according to Wikipedia
As part of the negotiation deal of transferring the distribution rights of future releases of Marvel Studios films to Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount Pictures's logo appears on marketing materials instead of Disney's

Will we see a Disney logo anywhere?
KNow that a lot of males arent interested in the movie after the stinky trailers.

What do you mean? The trailers for The Avengers broke the record of most downloaded trailer on iTunes, and it was my impression that "everyone" raved about how cool the trailers and the Super Bowl spot was?

I agree, over 12m people have downloaded the trailer which is stunning in itself. I mean okay some of the trailers weren't the best but how many TV spots and different trailers we have? Some of them were cool others were iffy but none of them haven't made me want to see the film and I'm female so I'm sure if I like the cool explosions and the combat, I think the male population isn't going to disagree.

I can't believe how many new clips we've been getting. I'm almost at the point I'm not going to watch them because I feel like I'm seeing the whole movie. :frog:

Before the Marvel logo, we will anyway have to see the Paramount logo. Why not Disney's logo? Disney now owns Marvel, after all. It would be like the Pixar movies.
Over here, promotional materials state something like "Marvel and Walt Disney present the ultimate superhero spectacle". So who knows, maybe the movie will actually feature the Disney/Touchstone (or just Marvel Studios only) logo in the beginning. After all, the Disney/Paramount deal regarding the movie dealt only with advertising rights, no?

After speculation about what logos would appear at the start of the film, I can confirm in Australia it shows Marvel Studios followed by the Paramount logo. There is no Disney logo in sight.

Saw it last night, barely (bought tickets online but was held back at work and got to the cinema at the exact moment the film started!). The 3D wasn't too spectacular, in my opinion, like a lot of other movies you stop noticing it after a while and the glasses become annoying 8)
The movie itself, I'd give it a 7/10. It ties all the separate series together really nicely, and was a lot more comedic than other Marvel films (the whole audience burst out laughing probably 15 to 20 times). I was never a huge Iron Man/Stark fan, but thought he was fantastic in this - they all were, but him moreso. The only downside was there were a few places that it felt a bit boring and repetitive, but in the end that was only for several minutes in a 2-hour movie. Good stuff.

Saw it yesterday, and the movie is A-W-E-S-O-M-E. "All my friends" have seen it or will go see it as well, and they are all really impressed by it/excited to see it. I give the movie 10/10!:D A must see in theaters. Will see it in 3D several more times...

I am trying to convince my husband to take two of our boys to go see this on Sunday. I'm trying to save my money to take the whole family to see Brave. I'm really glad to hear that it's doing well and getting good reviews from the foreign market. :)

THE AVENGERS Breaks Records with $178.4 Million International Debut
The pic totaled $178.4 million as it opened in 39 territories, breaking records for the largest opening weekend in Mexico, Brazil, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. In the UK it took the title of the biggest opening for a superhero film with a $24.7 million debut, and earned $19.7 million in Australia for the country’s second highest opening ever. These blockbuster numbers show that the all-star superhero pic has an incredibly wide appeal, and the movie hasn’t even opened yet in China or Russia—two major territories.
