Of the Marvel movies that have come out as part of this universe, the Iron Man films have been the most successful. Thor, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk were all successful, but each Iron Man took in over $300 domestically while the others didn't make it to $200 million. Hence why most of the focus is on Tony Stark.

However, Joss Whedon has said most of the film will focus on Captain America.

Just looked on El Capitan's site and it says Avengers is rated PG-13 and is 146 minutes long, which is just under two hours and 30 mins. They have been wrong before but I DOUBT Avengers will be rated R, so I'm more interested in that it's over two hours (does happy dance) wish it was three hours but hey can't have everything. :)

Cinemark Announces Marvel Avengers Movie Marathon
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/cinema ... 2012-04-09

Wonder why it's $20 instead of $40 like the AMC Marvel Avengers Movie Marathon? The only reason I can guess is that they aren't in 3D like three of the films at the AMC Marathon are, but I'm still confused.

Because from what I heard people have said that the John Carter script was boring. The trailers were boring so probably they couldn't make better trailers.

If I remember correctly it was part of the deal Disney made that it would have the rights to the Avengers but Paramount would still have the logo. I know it's totally weird but at least with Iron Man 3 people won't be confused.

Me too! Don't forgot to watch the two shorts which are "Marvel One-Shot: The Consultant" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer"

Too bad I can't see the shorts in order of the films because I'm going to one of the movies marathons and the theater doesn't say that they will play them, so I'm probably going to have to watch the shorts before I leave. But it's going to be fun staying up after 2 in the morning. :D

Much better trailers, but I still wouldn't be interested in seeing it. But hey I'm female and a male friend of mine wants to see it even with just the stinky trailers, so what do I know? :frog:

Will the Disney Logo be present at the start of the movie?
Because according to Wikipedia
As part of the negotiation deal of transferring the distribution rights of future releases of Marvel Studios films to Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount Pictures's logo appears on marketing materials instead of Disney's

Will we see a Disney logo anywhere?

As a fan of both Disney and Marvel, I really hope not. I really hope Disney has the guts to let the Marvel logo stand out on it's own, but I'm not expecting it.

Before the Marvel logo, we will anyway have to see the Paramount logo. Why not Disney's logo? Disney now owns Marvel, after all. It would be like the Pixar movies.

I was able to find a leaked screenshot of the movie. It's Iron Man ready to fire a blast from his hand. Here it is:

Why not the Disney logo? Because, apparently, Disney isn't the studio that's distributing the movie.

It's more complicated than that. After the first IM came out, Paramount and Marvel extended their distribution deal to include Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, The Avengers and Iron Man 3. When Disney acquired Marvel, they were looking for a way to undermine that deal.

When Paramount finally allowed Disney to acquire the final two films from the distribution deal, they still get a portion of the box-office profits (8% from The Avengers and 9% from Iron Man 3). Paramount is still involved as a co-sponsor (which means they keep the logo for those two films), and because of the branding -- The Avengers will be shown on Epix, the movie channel network founded by Paramount instead of Starz, where Disney has a deal there.

I don't see why people are fussing about Disney's logo NOT being on the film. Disney will get 92% of the profits generated from these movies, so letting Paramount take the cred is peanuts. However, the films afterward like Thor 2 and Captain America 2 will likely have the Disney/Touchstone Pictures branding.

Well, you can tell Disney owns the franchise now. http://www.regmovies.com/MarvelMarathon.aspx

35 miles from me but I wouldn't cross the street. I'll watch my blu rays in hi def on my 60" LED & just watch the Avengers at the theater. Only 76 theaters doing it for Regal. I'm sure DVDJunkies Kansas theater will have all 5 for a nickel. :D
