Because Spidey wasn't part of the original Avengers lineup really, but the main reason is Sony still owns all live action movie rights to the character.

^^ I saw the German trailer and even understood a little of it (took German in high school). I've very excited for this film! :D

That Superbowl trailer was awesome.. I don't think I'm prepared for how good this film will be.

Is that part of the reason why they're rebooting Spiderman? So Disney can market him? I didn't know that Sony owned the films.

No, they're rebooting it so that Sony can hold on to the rights. If they didn't make another film in the alotted time, then the rights would go to Disney. But since they are, Disney will not be able to do a thing with Spiderman for now.

Even though I've only seen the first 2 Iron Man movies, I think that the film looks really, really good!

Both "Thor" and "Captain America" are way better than "Iron Man 2", so then you have some Marvel movies to watch;) And I agree, The Avengers looks really good!

Hmm. I understand that this is based on a comic but when you take popular characters and put them in a film together it very rarely works (commercially it works wonders!). I remain cautiously optimistic though.

I know! Haha, it was funny. At the end of Iron Man 2, my friend and I were like "Huh?" when it showed the insider nugget for Thor, and we had to ask someone what the hoopla was about. :p But yes, I definitely would like to see those.

A new Japanese trailer has come out and it has new scenes. I'm posting it because most of it is in english, just the narrator and text is in Japanese.

Also someone has scans of a leaked Avengers storybook.

BEWARE major spoilers! (probably about 30 minutes of the film spoiled)

Darn it, those Captain America retrieval scenes should've been in the Captain America movie.

What is this with Tony Stark always being the most prominent in promotional stuff? Is it in his contract or something?

Why can't Cap or Hawkeye get some love?
