At the very least, this character should be better written and less irritating than the Chipettes.

Have I mentioned before how much I hate Alvin and the Chipmunks?

That's amazing, enigmawing! I wish Disney would use your design for the series instead of that crap. :(

enigmawing - is art just a hobby for you, or do you draw for a living (graphic designer or something...)?

It's mostly a hobby right now, although I do a small amount of freelancing and digital coloring. :)

Hmm.

You know, I'm kinda disappointed that we don't have a grown-up Sofia to look forward to in some upcoming DAC.

I don't understand what this is, but she's cute enough.

It's just a Disney Princess preschool show.

I forgot about this upcoming TV series and not because I don't like the idea of it. I've been quite busy!

The previous concept for her was better. Maybe they had to adjust the size of her crown a bit but everything in the original design was overall better.

"if kids can put themselves in that world, then the real learning can begin" yea right they're just trying to make a profit of princess stuff and the most they'll learn is manners and that kindness is good, things they've been told again and again and known forever. This thing is so formulated it's disgusting. And I hope the kids actually learn things that expand their intelligence.

My biggest concern was that she'd become an official Disney Princess, which freaked me out. Now I can relax lol.

I think the TV show is a cute idea. I doubt I'll watch but I think it's a nice idea. I'm not wild about Flora Fauna and Merryweather, Cinderella, and other "real" Disney characters being part of it - I'm sure the writers will disregard the personality and character development established in their respect movies to fit the story they're telling here - but I also get a kick out of seeing familiar characters in new (albeit unnecessary) environments. House of Mouse, for example, I loved.

Is this a Disney Junior show or a part of the regular Disney Channel lineup?

I had read about the show before, but I just now read about the fairies being teachers. I, too, really enjoy character interactions like in House of Mouse, but I mean, the fairies became teachers? I guess since Aurora is all grown up now, they need to do something with their time... I don't have cable, but if I did, I'd at least tune in...I think that overall, it sounds like a cute premise.

My son loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates and it was a real highlight for him to get Jake's autograph on a recent trip to WDW. I imagine this show will be similar in concept. To be sure Jake is written on a preschool level but that being said, the production values still seem pretty high compared to most everything else offered to the preschool crowd.

I am looking forward to Sofia . . . not that I plan on tuning in but because I know my daughters will love it.

I think I would have much preferred a new character be her teacher, or maybe a lesser known character that already exists. Someone like Prudence from the Cinderella sequels.

Overall though, I think the show sounds cute and it's existence seems like a nice way to utilize the princess characters. I'd much rather have something like this than the sequels.

THAT'S WHO I ORIGINALLY WANTED! I LOVED HER.
