slave2moonlight wrote:Question, gang. That John Carter amulet necklace thing they have as a reward now, how accurate is that in terms of replicas. Or is it even supposed to be a replica of anything? I haven't gotten to see the movie yet, so I don't have a clue, but they make it sound like a replica. I'm wondering just how accurate of one though, including the size and everything.

Besides that, I did get to order Condorman and also the "free" Bug's Life Blu-Ray, though both will be delivered to my mom's house, so they won't be in my hands for a while.
I think its supposed to be the amulet used in the film. It looks about half the size of the one in the movie to me. Anyone else?

it doesn't seem right that it garners the same amount of points as the regular Blu Combo pack.
If you buy the soundtrack seperately you get 50 pts.
I'm not saying I should get 50 pts being that it is packaged with the movie and I am sure it is just a download code and such...but maybe 25 pts extra.
I pre-ordered the Blu with SDTK edition from Amazon when they had the discount and I don't want to lose the deal but I feel cheated some points.

Any thoughts?
I think its because the soundtrack is a download, and not on a disc.

Yes, I'd be interested in multiple opinions on this. I have come to prefer things like this as collectibles over action figures and such items (most of the time, at least), but if it is not generally accurate, in size as well, I'm not interested.

I got my Tron: Legacy Blu-ray today and I was wondering if anyone could answer my question. Since T:L is one of the titles that gives you a free movie admission to John Carter, can I put my code in now and then print off the movie ticket later (I don't have a working printer at school)? Or should I just wait and print it off the next time I go home (before 4/15)? Thanks if anyone can help!

The ticket should be available under your Unlocked Offers tab until it expires and/or you go through the process of printing it. Otherwise they'd have lots of people who entered eligible codes, not realizing there was a promotion, and stuck with either printing the movie ticket on the spot or losing out.

If you can, punch in the bonus code M1D17NVJ39DS beforehand, and let us know if you get the extra 50 points it promises. It wasn't working for people who used it on the first day, but I'm not sure if they fixed it since then.

Oh, I didn't even know there was an Unlocked Offers tab (did they just add it?). And yes, the bonus code does in fact work! Thanks for letting me know about it because I probably wouldn't have remembered when it was posted a page or two back. Thanks for all your help, cityguy!

I was about to get that one, I'm glad I didn't after all. I already have it on Blu, but it drives me nuts that the Pixar films all have a uniform look. I wasn't going to go out and spend money to get the new cover. Now I guess I'll get Tinkerbell instead.

For the people who got sculptures recently, how long did it take to receive it after it was shipped? I redeemed points for a sculpture back in December and it finally shipped on March 6th, I still haven't gotten it. Is this normal?

Reading about its dimensions, I would estimate it to be more 1/3 to 1/4 the size of the one in the movie.

Sounds like it's not something I'd want then. Thanks for the help. I wouldn't be surprised if a more accurate amulet IS available, probably from Master Replicas or something. They made a lot of good Pirates of the Caribbean items I still need to get myself.

Lights, Camera, Action Pin shipped today. If it's like the Nightmare B4 XMas set it'll be about 10-12 days by media mail.

Just received Bug's Life for my free Blu-Ray.

Do you guys think if I contact BVHE I will get a normal blu case?
Man has a dream
And that's the start
He follows his dream
With mind and heart
And when it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true
For you and me!

I just went to set my order for the Tinkerbell Bluray, but it seems that A Bug's Life is no longer available and they've replaced it with Dinosaur on blu!

Yeah we have known that for a little while now but I'm not sure why people where shocked by it. The ad did have a logo beside the Bug's disc saying "limited quantities".

I've read on Blu-ray.com's forums and some people have emailed them and got cases/artwork/slipcovers for some of their movies. They charge for them though.

I just redeemed for the $3.95 Tinker Bell Blu-ray. I really wish they were offering the combo packs or just DVDs...this will be my first Blu-ray, and I have no way of playing it, but for $3.95, I couldn't pass it up.

The Bug's Life you just missed was a combo pack.
