Not really; if Pixar do start doing any such boasting then that would confirm your suspicions, but until they do that your's is still pretty much an opinion that isn't backed up by fact (or at least any kind of fact that I've seen but someone else might have).
No I mean it at least confirms my opinion that she was designed not pretty.

I think the one on the right is going to be the doll:

I like the sparkles, but it's not really as fancy as all the others, is it? Almost like it's not part of the collection so maybe I'm wrong.

I just ordered mine a few minutes ago. I am SO excited. I didn't get a chance to order the previous ones in the collection, so this is my first. It just feels surreal that 1 of the only 5,000 dolls is mine. I feel like a true collector. :)

Sorry, to double post, but I have news:
The Disney Store will release a 17 inch set with both Merida and Queen Elinor in it, and it is limited to just 2500. (I first saw this on a Disney collectors' page on Facebook, and can't find anything on the Disney store yet. However, I will place a link to a flickr page with pictures.)

I think it would be awesome if they did a surprise release of Ursula with the Ariel doll. So far they have already done it with Mother Gothel, the Queen of Hearts and Lady Tremaine.

That would be nice.

Regardless, I hope Ariel looks good, because I'd definitely buy her. :D

I would love to see an Ursula Collector doll, but I'd hate it if they did it just like they did Gothel and Tremaine. Those types of 'surprise releases' and super limited editions are only good for scalpers who buy up several and then sell them on eBay, screwing the true fans out of being able to get them. Especially folks like me, who don't have Disney Stores anywhere near them, and thus are forced to rely on the web. The closest one to me is over 6 hours away.

I think she looks good. Her tail is actually my favorite part it looks like seaweed haha. I also love her seashell belt. And there is suppose to be an LE Ursula doll coming out with her. I've heard speculation that there might be a 3rd doll released as a surprise either Ariel as a human or Vanessa.

What it is is her tail has giant scales. And it looks like maybe they are borrowing something from the original tale where the mermaids decorated their tailes with oysters.

Are all these things going to be available at the Disney Store? (Just curious, it looks like a Disney Store shelf) I’m not sure if I’ll be in a hurry to get this or not. Her face/hair is really nice, but the arms are still hideous. It’s not even that hard to make arms on a doll; Barbie’s been doing it for 50+ years. Overall, she looks like a Hula dancer. If they make Ursula thin like that fashion design they had a while back, I’m definitely passing on her.

Btw, I know it’s a nitpick, but could a mod spell check the thread title if they happen to see this post? :P

I'm sure they were thinking of the original tale when they did that.

She is LE of 5000 and you can pre order her online at the Disney store website I believe on July 29th. If you don't you can either order her online the day the Blu Ray comes out or try and get her in stores on the day. But your best bet is pre ordering her because Ariel is very popular she is most likely going to sell out fast.

Seems odd to have changed her bra to green, no ? I'm not really in to dolls, but they all look pretty cool.

This was an interesting video ....
