What inserts should be in the Sleeping Beauty Blu-Ray?

Post by tlc38tlc38 »

I recently bought the Sleeping Beauty Blu-Ray and for some reason the inserts look slim compared to previous Disney releases.

Does anyone know what inserts are supposed to be in this Blu-Ray?

Thanks in advance...

The only one I noticed was the general booklet that describes both discs and has that whole Platinum thing on the back with the upcoming Platinums for Spring 2009 and Fall 2009 (Pinocchio and Snow White). I guess they didn't do that because the Blu-Ray case opened like a book, so that covered it. But it still didn't cover the upcoming Platinums.

I'm just annoyed that the inserts are covering Disc 1...
Disney on Broadway:
Beauty and the Beast - December 2, 2006
The Lion King - February 28, 2007 & February 16, 2008
The Little Mermaid - December 12, 2007, December 22, 2007 & January 7, 2009
Mary Poppins - February 1, 2009

I was so looking forward to a booklet with pictures for the upcoming PE Blu-Ray Pinocchio...I guess we'll have to setlle for the trailer on Sleeping Beauty's Blu-Ray until they release more press material.

Quick Question: I know the question has been answered that when you bought the Sleeping Beauty on Blu Ray it comes with an extra DVD for playing it in the car or a regular DVD player.

My questions is that, does this happen any where you buy the movie. Like when singerguy04 bought his Blu Ray from walmart, did it come with the extra disc for just the DVD player. I do not want to buy the Blue Ray from the wrong place if it did not come with the extra disc. Thank you.

Another question: The Best Buy Deal is that only through on-line or could I get that deal in the store? Thank you.

Today I finally got my hands on the DVD version! It was $14.96 at Wal Mart and I couldn't resist. I was originally going to buy the Blu-Ray but it was $30, unless it was on sale - but I didn't see any signs that indicated it was on sale (they had a sign for the DVD being on sale). Well I'm going to go completely blow off my homework and go watch the DVD now.

Thank you so much for letting me know. I can't wait to get mine. I'll probably buy it Saturday when I am heading home from College.

I think if you buy it anywhere it comes with disc 1 of the DVD set, but only for a limited time?

I picked this up the day it was released. For some reason mine came with a little tin lunch box did anyone else get one?

Anyways, I haven't really watched everything yet. I liked the Castle Walkthrough but it irked me at how they never mentioned the climax at all, there's nothing to show Maleficent was defeated. Kind of silly in my opinion. However it was much better than the Peter Pan flight, much longer too.

I can't really comment much on the movie itself, I was rather tired when I watched it and fell asleep halfway in. However it seems the three faeries are a bit off for color, for instance the scene where they're huddled over the book when planning the birthday. It seemed they didn't belong in the scene because the background felt a bit darker and the dresses they wore seemed a bit too bright....Who knows, as I said I was rather tired so it could be my eyes playing tricks?

Anybody know an e-mail address for Disney where I can request a DVD Guide insert? As I mentioned earlier, my SB DVD didn't come with one.

I'm confused :? Does the Bluray version come with an insert because the only inserts in mine were advertisements.

All I got with mine was the Disney rewards code slip, a thing about Disney and Panasonic, "welcome to the revolution" about Disney BDLive, and a white piece of paper with a security sticker on it.

Well I picked this up on Tuesday, all I have to say is WOW. I have a new appreciation for the Art of Sleeping Beauty...story still kinda blows for me...but I always said I love it for the art and the music...and Eyvind Earle's backgrounds are flippin' amazing! I loved how he spent so much time on one bush! Now that is a talented artist...

Anyways...

A+ for the Beauty that Sleeps!

Oh yeah, forgot to say...kudos to the restoration team! I love how expanded it is now!

Barbossa you can call the number on the disc and go to the customer severice option and use the last option to talk to a regular person. Just tell them what happened and they should send you one.

Is it a toll-free number?

yes, it's a toll free number: 1-800-723-4763

But I still don't understand why we can't just solve the problem here on the boards. From what I've been hearing the Blu-ray versions didn't come with an insert. Maybe the problem is solved. And, if you think about it, the chapter index is on the inside of the cover so why would they need to include a chapter insert? I do agree, it would be nice to have one.

I haven't paid any attention to this thread till now. I like Sleeping Beauty, but wasn't really having anything to say till now...I saw the commercial about the 3 disc version with the regular DVD and Blue Ray in ONE package....sheer genius I tell you! I will buy that set, so when I do get a Blu player in the future, I know I didn't miss out :) If Disney is watching, THANK YOU! Now if only more movies from all the studios did that!
