Actually, the Incredibles didn't have the Pizza Planet truck, so this wouldn't be the first.estefan wrote:A thought just occurred to me. Will this be the first Pixar feature to not have the Pizza Planet truck, considering it's set many years before the invention of the automobile. I guess they could turn it into a horse and buggy, but did they have pizza in Scotland when Brave is set?
The Pizza Planet truck is in The Incredibles, during the drive through Metroville at the end. However, it's very quick and a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment.janesjubilee wrote: Actually, the Incredibles didn't have the Pizza Planet truck, so this wouldn't be the first.
Weird thing is, Lee Unkrush was asked if it was true that the incredibles is the only Ppixar movie not to have it, to which he replied yes. I wonder who's wrong.estefan wrote:The Pizza Planet truck is in The Incredibles, during the drive through Metroville at the end. I also heard that it was never really in the movie. I've seen people point out blurry frames of what they think is the truck, but nothing concrete enough to ever make me think that the truck is there despite Unkrich's comment.estefan wrote:The Pizza Planet truck is in The Incredibles, during the drive through Metroville at the end. Uh... did you read mine?Kyle wrote:Did you read my post right? Unkrich says its Not in it.

...it's really not.Kyle wrote:Yeah, I'm not even trying to be a grammar police here, just trying to understand your point of view. Your wording was confusing to say the least.
This means that I believe the truck is not in the movie. As such, this is a big clue that indicates that I believe the truck is not in the movie.I wrote:I also heard that it was never really in the movie.
This means that sometimes, people online post screencaps and say "LOOK AT THIS, YOU CAN SEE THE TRUCK," but said screencaps are not enough proof to make me say "WHY YES THERE IS THE TRUCK," a faulty statement that I previously disagreed with. Were I too utter such a faulty statement, it would also be contrary to Lee Unkrich's own statement about there being no Pizza Planet truck in the film.I then wrote:I've seen people point out blurry frames of what they think is the truck, but nothing concrete enough to ever make me think that the truck is there despite Unkrich's comment.
Source: http://movies.ign.com/articles/116/1164333p1.htmlAfter Cars 2, the next Pixar film will be summer 2012's Brave and there was a wonderful image from the film on display at the Pixar office of the main character, Princess Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald), showing her with long, flowing, fiery red hair and holding a sword.
I mentioned to Lasseter that I was excited to see Pixar's first take on a female-centered story and he nodded, saying "So are we. At Pixar we've always strived to have strong female characters, but granted, all of our films have had male main characters – though female characters have been very, very important in most of the films. But it's nice to have a film where the female is the main character."
Added Lasseter, "It's also our first real, true period film. Incredibles is sort of a period film, in that it's set in a world that evokes the 60s. But this is really medieval Scotland and it's really fun to kind of go into this and to have this kind of legend and lore feel to it. But it's very, very modern in its main character and its arc and the desires and things. It's got phenomenal characters and the look of this thing is unlike anything you've ever seen. Even for Pixar, there's a gorgeous, unique look to this movie and it's very, very exciting."
The first theatrical trailer for Brave, a teaser, will be attached to Cars 2 on June 24, as previously rumored. Expect it to debut online sometime around then. Brave, directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, opens on June 22, 2012.

L.A. Times wrote:Still, when Brenda Chapman was fired from Pixar's "Brave," it stung not just Chapman but also her female colleagues in the animation community. "I think it's a really sad state. We're in the 21st century and there are so few stories geared towards girls, told from a female point of view," said Chapman, who spent six years on "Brave" — which was inspired by her relationship with her daughter — before being fired because of what she calls "creative differences."
Steve Hulett wrote:There are varying industry stories about Ms. Chapman's departure from Emeryville, but it's interesting that the L.A. Times airs this linen on the same day it profiles Jennifer Yuh Nelson, no?
Management at Pixar/ Disney is fond of saying how the pictures are "director driven" and it's all about the "director's vision," etc. To some degree that might be true, but when the director's vision collides with the ideas of the head of the studio, all of a sudden the director isn't driving anymore.
Everybody knows this to be true. It might be useful if management admitted to the reality.
It probably will pop up online shortly after the opening weekend for Cars 2, so if you or your mother really don't want to see it, you could probably just wait a day or two.disneyprincess11 wrote:OK, that's it!
