Oh, I totally forgot like the most important DVD of my collection- The Even Stevens Movie! It's important because I won it off this site, and it's really significant, in that sense.

Do movies I've ordered count? If so 2.....plus an unknown number since I would get hypnotized by the shiny WDT Tins
Oh so add two more....since I just bought Your Host Walt Disney and Complete Pluto Volume 2 today
If you can guess how many dvd's I have all together I'll give you a cookie
*All guesses should be sent via PM so as not to go off-topic here again like now*
*Disclaimers Note* Cookie may or may not be stale by the time it gets to you via mail
*All the above is a joke...there is no cookie I ate it
*
I'll post again when I do get around to counting though

128 listings, 131 titles, according to my faithful web-based archivist. There are a few double-dips in there, but on the other hand I might have forgotten to add a few of my most recent purchases.

I never buy double dips myself. I find them unnecessary unless the picture is improved and the features are better.

I don't "double dip" much myself these days. I'd say that's the main reason why I have so few Disney DVDs. I've got quite some more Disney laserdiscs, though. I have all of the Treasures DVDs and then basically just a handful of the "classics" to supplement my LDs - whenever I feel the improvement is substantial enough.

I really only care about the DACs, for the most part. I buy other Disney films if I like them, but the DACs are where I'm always at. I have a few less than thirty of the DACs (I lost count since I left some at home), and about ten live action movies (I don't have any other Disney animated movies apart from DACs). I think I'm reluctant to go out of my way to buy DVDs of any movie I don't really really like just because I spent so much time assembling a complete set of VHS tapes of them (I stopped at "Mulan", which is when I got a DVD player).

Actual Disney = 179 (according to DVD spot, although that's probably wrong)
But that doesn't include Touchstone, Miramax etc or the stuff I don't really consider to be Disney such Pixar / Ghibli /Muppets, or the rest of the not really Disney, but only distributed by Disney titles!

Actual Disney: 79 (2 copies of Cindy)
This didn't include Stuido Ghibli, PIXAR, Touchstone, Miramax etc.
This number should definitly be up when the year ends.

Indeed. I "double-dipped" (or triple or more) quite a lot some years ago (various laserdisc editions, sometimes in addition to one or two VHS versions). By the time of DVD, however, I was somewhat tired of it. I'll still double-dip here and there, but not every time.
1021 Disney titles Owned

I'm not sure how reyquila wanted it broken down so I went as detailed as possible.
These are all counted by title, not by disc, so each number is one release or title. (Ultimate Toy Box = 1). I did include double dips. I have a few more than 417.
DVDs
Anchor Bay - 3 (Watcher in the Woods, Return to Oz, The Black Hole)
Buena Vista Home Entertainment - 7 (The Muppet Show, Bionicle, etc.)
Buena Vista/Touchstone Television - 24 (Desperate Housewives, Lost, Scrubs, etc.)
Criterion - 5 (Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums, Armageddon, etc.)
Dimension - 39 (Scream, Scary Movie, etc.)
Dimension/Miramax - 2 (The Crow & Crow: City of Angels)
Disney Documentaries & Imax - 7 (Walt: The Man Behind the Myth, Frank and Ollie, etc.)
Disney Legacy - 4 (True-Life Adventures)
Disney Television - 12 (Ducktales, Chip 'n' Dale, Gummie Bears, etc.)
Disney Treasures - 22 (All released Disney Treasures)
Hollywood Pictures - 33 - (The Rock, The Sixth Sense, etc.)
Miramax - 104 (The English Patient, Pulp Fiction, etc.)
Miramax/Ghibli - 1 (Princess Mononoke)
Pixar - 7 + 5 (All 7 films + double dips of Toy Story & ABL releases)
Studio Ghibli - 11 (Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, etc.)
Touchstone - 132 (The Prestige to Splash, etc.)
Walt Disney - 377 (Animated features, Live-Action, and any other films which doesn't fall under any other catagory which bears the Walt Disney Name)
Total Disney Distributed DVDs = 795
Videos Not quite as detailed as DVDs but here are my videos
Dimension - 3
Hollywood Pictures - 23
Miramax - 35
Touchstone - 32
Walt Disney (Clamshell) - 117
Walt Disney (Box) - 16
Total Disney Videos = 226

I hope the breakdown is clear enough. If you have any questions, be sure to ask. This collection of course is a work in progress as "The Queen" comes out on Tuesday to add one more to Miramax.
