My guess would be the Legacy Collection DVDs.
You’re correct Sequel, they are indeed my four Legacy Collection (True Life Adventures) tins. I think the gold “film cans” look nicer on display than the plain plastic outer cases.
The early 2000s really were a golden age for home video from Disney: the Legacy Collection, the Treasures and the short-lived Vault Disney Collection are among my most treasured Disney DVDs.
If only the current Disney Blu-ray catalogue contained anything similar! It seems so unlikely now that material like this will ever be released on Blu-ray, let alone so beautifully packaged or with such a wealth of bonus features.
Thanks! They're from Mattel's late '90s line called 'Signature Collection'. The line also included Belle and the Beast dolls but I'm not a fan of how those two turned out so I wasn't interested in getting them.
I really enjoy looking at other people’s collections – thank you to everyone who has posted already. I would love to see some more collections!
It’s a couple of years since I last posted a picture of my collection. I have added quite a lot since then – mainly blu-rays and art books - but through crafty space maximisation it is still all contained within the same shelving unit!
I have squeezed in one extra shelf, and a big help with space was replacing 10 of my original Treasures sets with the Italian multi-volume releases. I have also put the majority of my DVDs (mainly live action titles now) into paper sleeves in the photo box on the top shelf.
My animated classics look a bit more consistent now that I have replaced most of the slipcovers with the new numbered UK versions. I kept the original UK slips on the Platinums/Diamonds as I felt they were a lot nicer, so I now have a “collection within a collection” on the left hand side. (Sorry, fans of strict chronological order...)
I am hoping to expand my collection of live action blu-rays – I would love to get more of the DMC club exclusives (Return to Oz, Swiss Family Robinson etc) but the DMC is not open to non-USA customers and they are so expensive on eBay!
Nice additions to the thread, REINIER! You always track down interesting stuff. Whenever you have an excuse to bump this thread do so - maybe we can get more people to post photos of their collections.
I should really post mine sometime, though it is an animated film collection (i.e. not just Disney.)
Just a few examples of what I post on Instagram once in awhile:
The latter is a bit of a cheat, it includes the 1946 Cocteau film and 1987-90 television series. And I need to update the Peter Pan picture, it was missing my Japan Blu-Ray, and now is missing the two Signature Collection store exclusives. (Well, technically, I still need the 1990 laserdiscs and a copy of the 1998 VHS, but I digress.)

When it comes to brains, I got the lion-share,

Thanks, REINIER! They're both just the films' laserdisc releases, haha. The Peter Pan one is from 1998 and it's the regular CLV release (I still need to get the CAV gatefold set). Both the CAV & CLV Beauty and the Beast sets are in that picture (the CLV is practically buried under other things), with the WiP LD to the left.
