It might be just me, but I love seeing the actual pictures, although not at all for the "in-your-face proof" factor. I just really love to see how people organize their DVDs (alphabetical? chronological?) and it's also fun to see some other regions' covert art.

And darth deetoo, your collection is superb, as always!

My list is the same way that I organize it on my shelves, so taking a picture would be redundant. Besides, once you've seen one R1 DVD cover, you've seen them all.

Here's mine. Sorry the images are kind of fuzzy; the DVD shelf is a corner of my room that the window's light can't quite reach completely. It also doesn't help that I have a sofa bed detracting me from getting a good view of the whole shelf.

Image
This is the whole DVD shelf, which is running out of room rapidly. You'll see the first two shelves up close below. The bottom two consist of musicals, superhero films, tv shows, and everything else.

Image
My animated classics collection, partially hidden by a Walt Disney World picture frame that I've yet to place a photo inside of.

Image
My Pixar and live-action films collection. The tailend of my animated classics can also be seen here. The castle is blocking off the beginning of the live-action films (for those wondering, Walt: The Man Behind the Myth, Pollyanna, The Parent Trap, Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Pete's Dragon are the ones hidden from view.

Image
Disney DVDs in the "Other" category: the Muppets, theatrical animation, DTV animation, theme parks, and Hayao Miyazaki. The extended Narnia is behind the Hatter plushie, and that's it for Disney DVDs. My Jesus film collection can be seen behind the Alice globe (wow, what an odd sentence). I'm awaiting my Passion: Definitive Edition from Amazon, which will go after Gospel of John (yes, even my Jesus films are in chronological order).

Your collection is stunning, deetoo. How much did it all cost, roughly?

darth_deetoo I think I've just died of envy. The DVD's are nice, but it's the other stuff that really makes me green with envy.

I can't wait till I finally get to go to Disneyland this summer, I'm bringing around 2000 bucks in spending money, so I'm hoping to finally build up a nice collection of Disney stuff.

My collection right now currently contains 26 Disney DVDs, a Stitch plushie (same one you have), Aurora and Ariel Barbies (did the lady at Wal Mart give me a weird look when I bought those... ),a few action figures and statues I've picked up at thrift shops and posters for Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.

I'd take a picture, but I'm cameraless at the moment.

Yikes, I wouldn't have a clue how much it cost altogether.

The most expensive items are the 3 Armani statues, Belle, Ariel and Aurora. They varied between about £250 - £450 each. The Sleeping Beauty one was the most expensive, Ariel was the least expensive.

Most of the other figurines varied from around £10 - £60 each I think.

Plushes tended to cost between £10 - £12 - the Belle and Snow White on the throne's were £20 each.

The Armani's are definitely the pride of my collection, and I do intend to buy more. They are very expensive, but they are also without a doubt the most beautiful collectibles I've ever seen.

If anyone would like to see any clearer pics of any of the figurines, let me know and I'll post some close up pics.

Unfortunately, I too am cameraless, but posting a list is better than nothing, no? :)

The following DVDs are MINE! MINE! MINE! :

Note: My DVD collection is a mixture of Region 1 and Region 2 titles. I will write the appropriate region next to the DVD titles. Also note that sub-headings of DVD editions in different regions vary. For example, the Platinum Editions are simply called Special Editions in Europe. My Platinums are a mixture of Region 1 and 2, and I will write the edition name according to the region.

Understood? Confused? Disoriented? Oh... just read through it again... 8)

Walt Disney Animated Classics:

1. Fantasia - (forms part of "The Fantasia DVD Collection" DVD box set) Region 2
2. Bambi - 2 Disc Special Edition - Region 2
3. Cinderella - Platinum Edition - Region 1
4. Alice in Wonderland - Special Edition - Region 2
5. Peter Pan - Region 2
6. Lady and the Tramp - 2 Disc Special Edition - Region 2
7. The Sword in the Stone - Gold Classic Collection - Region 1
8. The Aristocats - Region 2
9. Robin Hood - Gold Classic Collection - Region 1
8. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - Region 2
9. The Rescuers - Region 2
10. The Black Cauldron - Gold Classic Collection - Region 1
11. The Little Mermaid - Platinum Edition - Region 1
12. Beauty and the Beast - 2 Disc Collector's Edition - Region 2
13. Aladdin - 2 Disc Special Edition - Region 2
14. The Lion King - 2 Disc Special Edition - Region 2
15. Pocahontas - 2 Disc Special Edition - Region 2
16. The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Region 1
17. Mulan - 2 Disc Special Edition - Region 2
18. Tarzan - 2 Disc Special Edition - Region 2
19. Fantasia 2000 - (forms part of "The Fantasia DVD Collection" DVD box set) Region 2
20. Lilo & Stitch - 2 Disc Special Edition - Region 2
21. Treasure Planet - Region 2
22. Home on the Range - Region 2
23. Chicken Little - Region 2

Other Disney Films:

24. Mary Poppins - Gold Classic Collection - Region 1
25. Pete's Dragon - Region 2

Walt Disney Treasures:

26. Mickey Mouse in Living Colour* Volume 1 - Region 2
27. Mickey Mouse in Living Color Volume 2 - Region 1
28. Walt Disney on the Front Lines - Region 1

* The word "colour" has the "u" in it because it's the European (UK) Region 2 edition of that Walt Disney Treasure I own. It's kind of funny having my two Mickey Mouse volumes sitting on my shelf in different regions, mostly because they have slightly different cover art, and the Region 2 disc does not have a double-alpha case (like the US Treasures) but a normal slim case with a flipper inside (for the extra disc). 8) And obviously, the spelling difference. Personally, I prefer the word "colour" written as I er ... just wrote it, but I guess that's because I'm European, and here in Malta we're taught British English (not American English).

Yay! Long live the NEW and IMPROVED Disney DVD collection photo thread!

darth_deetoo, i'm in LOVE with your King Louis plush! It's so cute! :P Did you get it recently? How much did it cost? (Sorry, but in case you didn't know, The Jungle Book is one of my favorite Disney Classics, and I'm planning on spending big bucks on the merchandice coming out this fall for the platinum! ESPECIALLY on plushes!)

I've decided I'll probably make a tradition and post updates on my collection on New Year's Eve, like what happened last...er, this year. That way, I can see (and others!) how much my collection has grown! :) So, it will definately be a while until my next update.

I got the King Louie plush last December from the UK Disney Store. Hoping to get a Baloo at Disneyland Paris. It was £12 but I got it during a 3 for 2 promotion on soft toys.

I have a King Louie, he's awesome. Mine's different to yours though, I think he's smaller, definitely has shorter arms, and he's fluffier with darker hair, but I like him that way.

I so wish there was a Disney Store near me. Or at least a store that sold memrobillia similar to the Disney Store (The department stores carry a crap load of princess stuff for little girls, but other then the really well done character dolls from Mattel I don't have a desire to own any of it).

I love King Louie (and pretty much everything from the Jungle Book) but the only thing I have in his likness is the candy dispenser McDonalds put out with their Happy Meals when The Jungle Book came out on VHS about 10 years ago.

Those are the "Walt Disney Legacy Collection" tins/cans to hold the discs.
