Hello Everyone!

Here's my Finding Nemo review

Story

When a young fish is captured andput in a fish tank, his father goes on an epic journey to find him!

Video

As every other Pixar/Disney release we get the clearest transfer available from the digital source so we get nothing but top notch! we get the usual Widescreen (1:78.1) and the Reframed P&S (1:33.1).

<img src="http://ultimatedisney.netfirms.com/FNWS.jpg"> <img src="http://ultimatedisney.netfirms.com/FNP&S.jpg">

Audio

On Disc 1 we only get the 5.1 dolby digital track
On Disc 2 we get English, Spanish and Frech Tracks
Subtittles are the same on both discs.

Like on every Pixar DVD that sound it's always super!

Bonus Features

Disc 1

Intro (1 min 10 Sec)

Here we a Intro by Andrew Stanton and Lee Ukrich, Here they go on about WS version and P&S and other features in the disc.

Documentary: Making Nemo (25 min 35 sec)

Overall This is a very interesting piece but too short..... MMB RECOMMENED

<img src="http://ultimatedisney.netfirms.com/fn4.jpg">

Visual Commentary w/ Deleted Scenes

Here you have to two options: You can either watch and hear it with the movie of you can watch the visual stuff by themselves. this is also neat! MMB RECOMMENDED

Design Galleries

*Art Review (8 min 35 Sec)

You can watch this with commentary or music only tracks, They take you thru concept art and stuff! very cool!

*Characters (6 min)

They go thru all the characters with the play all or you can choose. They basicly show the marquees of the characters and their dialog

*Environments

Concept Art of the vast Environments of the movie.

*Color Script

300 Images presented in a slide feature of more concept art which seems to tell the story of nemo in storyboard kinda feel

Virtual Aquariums

Here they put all the available aquariums for you to choose

Disc 2

The Menus on this disc are not Anamorphic WS they are Full Frame only which is a shame! again the Fish Icon is present to turn your TV set into a virtual aquarium!

Intro (1 min)

Again we get Andrew Stanton and Lee Ukrich little intro in how the Fullframe is been re-framed and blah blah thank god it only last a minute! lol

Exploring the Reef (7 min)

This has got to be the bestest Feature in the whole set! we get taken on a national geographic kinda show with Jean-Michael Cousteau but when dory and the others take control it only means disaster! This should be the first thing you watch! :lol: MMB RECOMMENDED!

<img src="http://ultimatedisney.netfirms.com/fn1.jpg">

Knick Knack (3 min 50 sec)

Presented in 1:85.1 Anamorphic WS. This is the edited version! they should have included the unrated on disc 1! oh well! we get two viewing mode: watching it or watching it with a commentary. The print is always pristine!

Mr. Ray Encyclopedia (7 min 30 sec)

Here's where we learn along Mr Ray about our friends from the movie you can either select from the different characters from the movie or you can press the play all to go thru all of them! very cute!

<img src="http://ultimatedisney.netfirms.com/fn3.jpg">

Fisharade

<img src="http://ultimatedisney.netfirms.com/fn2.jpg">

Read Along

We all know this you get two options: read it yourself or have it read to you!

Behing the Scenes

* Character Interviews (2 min 25 sec)

This was ok........... It did have a very low level of entertainment but from that it was dull......

* Studio Tour

While this tour doesn't really go indepth. It's a superficial animation process/studio tour with Alexander Gould (nemo) It's aimed toward the Kiddies. Most of the jokes on this are stupid and so kiddie aim. Piss me of how people can act so stupid :lol:

* Publicity

I guess Disney decided to add these........

We get the Following

Theatrical Teaser (2 min 10 sec)
Trailer 1 (2 min 15 sec)
Trailer 2 (1 min 25 sec)
Trailer 3 (2 min 15 sec)

Fishy Facts: Bruce (1 min)
Fishy Facts: Crush (1 min)
Fishy Facts: Nigel (1 min)

Print Gallery: Full of never seen posters and lobby cards! pretty need!

Virtual Aquarium

Here they put all the available aquariums for you to choose

Sneek Peeks

The Incredibles (presented in 2:35.1 Anamophic WS)
Home of the Range (4:3 Letterbox)
Lion King 1 1.2
Santa Clause 2
Special Edition DVDs (For more info on this read: here )
Spy Kids 3D: Game Over ( Coming to 3D-DVD comes with set of 3D glasses!)

Easter Eggs

On both intro Andrew and Lee say there's Easter eggs hidden among the disc. which i couldn't find so happy hunting! :)

Parting Thoughts

Too me this discs did not stand up to it's precessors as it doesn't go near past Pixar 2 Disc sets! It has been watered down for kiddies.......while some features are collector oriented the disc feel to be missing something...... I would still buy it but I was dissapointed in it...... oh well! I give it a 3 1/2

Yeah, I've read many comments around the 'net saying pretty much the same thing. Oh well. Definitely a monumental must buy nonetheless.

Thanks for your efforts, MMB.

Aw,man.An edited Knick Knack.At least I have the uncut version on VHS.Also,I'd like a 2-D Spy Kids 3-D.The movie looks so much better that way.

At least we know now that the Pixar guys edited Knick Knack themselves... it would be nice to have the original version on there even as an Easter Egg.

Yeah...but those are no LITHOS :wink:

Funny off-topic story....
We had DSL problems on Friday and had to have SBC come out today. The guy comes into the den and sees the Nemo wallpaper on my PC and goes nuts. He said he loved the movie so much that aside from seeing it 3 or 4 times he actually downloaded a copy somewhere. And he plans on buying 4 copies on Tuesday. This guy had to be no more than 26 or 27 and you would never in a million years had guessed that he was a Disney Freak, too.

Telling an admin to "bugger off" is not a wise thing to do.

"Maybe [you] will cut down on posts"? I hope you do. Do not use up valuable bandwidth with posts like "They just might," which serves no purpose as to answer the original question asked.

just my two cents...

Sorry,Luke.Didn't mean to tell you to "bugger off".But,I will have more useful posts,so you can save your precious bandwidth.

Well like I said in the e-mail, you're straddling a fine line between meaningless padding and contributing to the forum. Though not as you had been when you joined in September. Many of your recent posts have been pointless efforts to pad your post count, as if that means something.

By all means, you're welcome to post more, if you're going to post something of substance. It's these posts that sound like one side of a cell phone conversation that are just wasting resources and time.

Now, no more off-topic posts here, please. This is more like Feedback material.
