The Sketchbook Series

Post by yamiiguy »

Has anybody got these?
I seen them on Waterstones' site but they are £100 each :o

I can only see Peter Pan and Bambi though:

Peter Pan ISBN: 9781557093455
Bambi ISBN: 9781557093424

I would like to own them but £100 for a book is just a tad extreme

Yeah, I have the Sleeping beauty one. I know this one is the rarest one, and usually the most expensive. But I was lucky enough to buy it from an auction house in texas online....I ended up paying $93 including shipping. I know it sounds like a lot, but this book never sells for less than 250. Kudos to me :-)
I wouldn't mind having the Peter Pan one...my room mate has the Little Mermaid one and I find it somewhat disappointing. Oh well. If I ever find the peter Pan one at a reasonable prize....
I know a former teacher of mine found the Bambi one for $5 at a used book store...who knew?

Yes. What they are is, limited edition books, with selected rough animation drawings from each film (usually divided into sections per character). The reproductions are flawless and printed on to VERY good quality paper.
The thing is, they are limited editions, so they tend to be pricey. Check amazon or ebay....

I considered buying some of these years ago but never got around to it. Expensive, most of them - but I believe one or two of the titles were also available in cheaper editions (in the $30 range).
