Will there ever be a boxset with every Disney classic? I'd love to buy a boxset that had every Disney classic in it

You could market all the princesses that way, all the "adventure" ones, all the really super magical ones...

but then that would mean that they would have to be removed from the vault.

I don't think that there will be, because Disney's marketing scheme never allows for all the movies to be in print at a time. Especially in the US. It's just not how they work.

They did have the 9 Limited Issue DVDs in a set... but that was only 9 movies, and it included a sequel (TLK2)...I agree, though, that Disney probably wouldn't put them all out at once. And, if it's almost $20 just for one DVD, I can't imagine how expensive it would be for a whole boxset.

Wow. This would be so cool, but highly unlikely. However, I would settle for Disney creating a nice box to store all of the classics. Kind of like they did for the mail in box with the Beauty and the Beast "trilogy." You could buy it for around $20 and it would store all of the classics made during Walt's time, so from "Snow White" to "The Jungle Book." The box would be way to wide to store all of them, and that box might be too wide, but not much wider than the wooden box I bought through WB to house all of the Friends seasons, and that cost $20, was made of wood, and had a glass door with the friends on the glass.

Yeah, I originally considered that, but the only other DAC with a Princess (in the marketing sense) was Beauty and the Beast, and if I had moved Pocahontas to Heroes and Legends, I'd have to bump another film from there into the Milestones collection in order to move BATB to the Princess collection...or redo all 9 collections entirely. I wanted to keep 5 titles in each collection, and the Milestone Collection, IMO, best represents the various states of animation for WDFA, with BATB being one of the prominent ones.

Besides, I also tried to make the Heroes & Legends collection a more specific collection of action type films that fall under a hero theme (which is why the other films are a general Action & Excitement collection). Pocahontas could fit there with John Smith and such, but the film is more of a love story than an action one (unlike the 5 in Heroes & Legends), which makes it fit better as a Princess film.

Except its not the cleaned up Fantasia...

It just has the first 10 movies literally.

I think that's missing some package films. Still, I hope we don't get that here. Least not for a LONG time. I don't want to have to buy ALL those films again, but the set looks gorgeous! Though I'll take an uncut Melody Time as soon as possible.

45 DVDs @ 20 = at least $900 by the time everything was added including pricing for the "special" packaging it would be well over $1000.00 US....
