October 2, 2005</center>

Yesterday afternoon in mid-Manhattan, Buena Vista held the New York "World Premiere" for the forthcoming <i>Cinderella</i> Platinum Edition DVD. Celebrities and characters were there...and so was UD for the red carpet lead-in to the debut East Coast screening of the 1950 animated film's new remastered print.

<center>Here is a sampling of what went on:
<img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp01.jpg"> <img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp02.jpg">
Left: The Ziegfeld Theatre on 54th Street was the site of the lavish premiere screening. Right: With red carpet space at a premium, we took the designated slot of some no-show website called UntimateDisney.com.

<img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp03.jpg"> <img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp04.jpg">
Left: Disney veteran Spencer Breslin and his younger sister Abigail. Now thirteen, Spencer (<i>The Kid</i>, <i>The Shaggy Dog</i>) is sporting a newly-deepened voice. Right: Look who's also grown up a bit - former Pepsi commercial girl Hallie Kate Eisenberg shows off her trendy top.

<img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp05.jpg"> <img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp06.jpg">
Left: The Fairy Godmother poses with pint-sized Josh Flitter (the caddy from Disney's new drama <i>The Greatest Game Ever Played</i>). Right: Pals Ashley Tisdale and Brenda Song ("The Suite Life of Zack and Cody") spoke of filming a second season of the Disney Channel comedy.
<img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp07.jpg"> <img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp08.jpg">
Left: Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Molly Shannon with her pink, frilly-clad 2-year-old daughter. Right: Star Jones, or rather what's left after a serious weight loss. (When'd that happen? You miss a couple of years of "The View" and you're so out of the loop...)

<img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp09.jpg"> <img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp10.jpg">
Left: This coachman doesn't look too happy. Right: Cinderella arrives in her carriage o'glass!

<img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp11.jpg"> <img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp12.jpg">
Left: Snow White shows up for her fellow Disney princess's premiere. Right: Two unnamed girl mice proved to be hugging machines!

<img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp13.jpg"> <img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp14.jpg">
Left: June Foray, who was the "voice" of Lucifer the Cat in <i>Cinderella</i>, one of her first of many vocal roles. Right: Catherine Oxenberg, the princess of Yugoslavia, who appears in the Disc 2 bonus feature "House of Royalty."

<img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp15.jpg"> <img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp16.jpg">
Left: Cinderella and Prince Charming are all smiles. Right: Stephon and the Marburys were running a bit late.

<img src="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/images/a- ... anyp17.jpg">
I believe that means goodbye...</center>

Afterwards, "Mike" and "Sally" from the Disney Channel's "Mike's Super Short Show" series showed up on the red carpet to film a new segment to promote <i>Cinderella</i>.

Awesome Luke!! Thanks for all the pics. They're great. I'm surprised Ilene Woods wasn't there, though. I can't wait for the review :D! Only one day left until Cindy :)

The female mice are Suzy and Perla. Suzy is in Pink and Perla's in Green.

Cindy and Charming look nothing like their WDW counterparts (all 10 of them, lol). They should've gotten the Cindy who first did Cinderellabration at WDW in March, and the Charming who's almost always in the second Spectromagic.

LOL, sorry. It's a greenish blue at WDW, and I just glanced at the pics here.

I totally agree on that Star Jones comment! Geez! I recently saw The View on TV and I thought they replaced Star Jones! *smacks forehead*

Anyways, great pictures and thanks for sharing! :D

Luke, I know what you're talking about the World Premiere of "Cinderella" remastered edition. I had never seen a theatre that shown "Cinderella" since 1987 where the last theatrical reissue was appeared.
